How can I use net banking to purchase Kindle books?

Net banking can be used for Kindle book purchases made on your computer, mobile device, or Kindle e-reader.

When you click the Buy Now button on a Kindle book product page, you will be taken to a payments page. Here, you will be able to select net banking as your payment method for your Kindle book purchase.

If you choose net banking as your payment option, you will be redirected to your bank’s website to complete the payment for your purchase.

Where are my Kindle book purchases stored?

Your Kindle book purchases are stored in the Cloud and are accessible from the Manage Your Content and Devices page. You can deliver books and personal documents from Manage Your Content and Devices to your Kindle device or reading application.

You can also download your purchased books from your registered Kindle device directly when you're connected to Wi-Fi or 3G.

Can I continue to purchase Kindle books on Amazon.com?

You can continue to purchase Kindle books on Amazon.com if you do not wish to shop in the Amazon.in Kindle Store. When you purchase eligible Kindle items from Amazon.com and you use an internationally-enabled Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card, we'll show you the total amount of your order in Rupees. Your purchases will be processed in US dollars (USD) if another payment method such as American Express is used to place your order.

Do I need to provide my CVV number to purchase Kindle books?

All credit and debit card transactions on Amazon.in, with the exception of American Express, require you to enter the CVV number and 3-D secure password. This provides you with increased protection while making payments using your card.

When you make payments using a credit/ debit card, your card number will be stored on our secure server so you don’t have to enter it every time you make a purchase using the same card. However, we will ask for your CVV number every time you place an order. To enhance the security of your transaction, your CVV number will not be stored on our server.

Note: If you select an American Express card to complete your purchase, you will be asked to provide your postal code rather than the CVV number.
