A hot bath and few chocolates down, I'm still not able to come out of the poignant castration from the last chapters of Rani Padmavati. It took me a solid four hours to finish and it is so different💫 It was a cascading read; with the story flowing very swiftly. Though the separate character of each character wasn't given too much importance.. the lustre and depth they represented echoed for so long. The concluding lines on Alauddin's realization was so intense. That's what moved the core of the book according to me!! The intensity of the scenes... There weren't any imagery inserted anywhere specially..but the entire book wove a magical sequence in my mind.. the feelings it evoked in me were too far and too long.. The scenes between Padma and Ratan were so subtle still left a deep ache in the last scenes when she had to jump into the fire and he still lived at "peace" with himself.. It was a fast paced, fiery and a highly intense read!🔥🔥🔥 The embers of the story will take a really long time to satiate it's thirst and fade within me.. It was a very different one from your other books..
