While its repertoire of the bird species found in the Indian subcontinent along with their distribution and description is nothing short of impressive, using it as a field guide for birding is a difficult task especially if you're new to the activity. There are no colour-coded or size-coded indices which marks out the bird on the basis of their size or colours they adorn rather the index is with their common names. Other than its tedious usage, its overall pretty nice. Pages are glossy and each bird has one or more of their paintings according to differences you might find in their species with respect to the sex or the age. Book came in okay condition (the corners of the front cover were peeling away though).
