There is a manufacturing defect with the product. Air bleed hole on top of the spout is 180 degrees opposite and you cannot do anything about it. If you use the product with natural spout position, oil will drip which may lead to you thinking the lid is not screwed properly. However to avoid the situation, you have to consciously rotate while pouring oil. A minor irritant, nonetheless. Also the metal coal does not have a air bleed hole, so after use when you replace the cap, there is no gap for air release and the cap tends to hold with vaccum underneath. There should have been a small air bleed hole on the wall of the cap near the top.
