When a story captivates me from start to finish, even when I know how it might possibly turn out, I'd say that's a good sign, and the book is a good read. So Without You is definitely a good read.
The character of Ananya, and the detailing of this character especially is impressive, but other characters and relationships have been given their due as well. The descriptions of Sreepuram are also quite beautiful and easy to imagine.
I'm a fan of serendipity, but when it becomes too much, you know something is up, and that's what happens with the character of the Colonel, I think. And it makes it quite unbelievable for me. Though it helps in a way to tie things up. Speaking of which, the storyline felt hurried towards the end as well.
