The Voice of India publication house is the true inheritor of healthy Gandhian conservatism in India—proud of its Hindu roots, unafraid to criticise Islam and Christianity, upholder of Truth, and devoid of hatred for non-Hindus. In all of these respects, Voice of India is different from so-called Hindutva organisations in the country. As such, every Voice of India publication is worth reading for every Hindu.
This book is one of the great contributions of the publication company to modern Indian thought. It is written by Sita Ram Goel, and is a 2019 reprint of a work that was first published in 1986 and then enlarged in 1996. You will find answers to the following questions in this book: When did Christianity first arrive in India? When did Christian missionaries start working in India? Why do Christian want to convert non-Christian Indians? What do Christian missionaries think about Indians in general and Hindus in particular? Where do Christian missionaries in India get the people and money for their work? What were the thoughts of Raja Ram Mohun Roy, Dayananda Saraswati, Vivekananda, and Gandhiji on Christianity? What is the attitude of the modern Indian state towards Christianity? What are the differences between Christianity and Hinduism? Are there any defects in Hinduism that can be cured by Christianity? Are there any differences between the thinking of Jesus Christ and that of today's Christians? What attitude should modern Hindus want to adopt towards Christianity?
As you can see, the list of questions is long. Goel's answers are unequivocal, expressed in beautiful, clear, language, and convincing. In an era in which serious thinkers do not want to call themselves Hindu in public, in times when saying anything good about the Hindus can get you labelled as despicable, in a period of India's history in which everything about Islam and Christianity is supposed to be considered good, Goel's words shine bright and true.
Twenty-first century Hindus do not like reading. Well, they could do worse than to start with this book. I pray that more and more people read Voice of India books, that more and more Hindus develop a non-sectarian pride in their heritage, that the world recognises the value and uniqueness of Hindu thought.

History of Hindu-Christian encounters, AD 304 to 1996, 2nd rev. and enl. edition by Goel, Sita Ram (1921-2003) ISBN: 9788185990354 Voice of India, New Delhi Pub. Year: 2016 Pages, ills, maps etc., Reprint: xiv,530p., bibl., ind., 23cm. RS. 375.00 Paperback Add to Cart Note: Postage will be charged as actual. Other books written / edited by: Goel Sita Ram Hindus from seventeenth century Pandits of Tamil Nadu to Mahatma Gandhi have wasted no end of breath to demolish the dogma of Christianity. But it has hardly made any difference to the arrogance of Christian theologians and missionaries. That is because the dogma was never meant for discussion. It is an axiom of logic that that which has not been proved cannot and need not be disproved. Who has ever proved that the non-descript Jew who was crucified by a Roman governor of Judaea in 33 AD atoned for the sins of mankind for all time to come? Who has ever proved that those who accept that man as the only saviour will ascend to a heaven of everlasting bliss and those who do not will burn for ever in the blazing fire of hell? Nor can the proclamation or the promise or the threat be disproved. High-sounding theological blah blah notwithstanding, the fact remains that the dogma is no more than a subterfuge for forging and wielding an organizational weapon for aggression against other people. It is high time for Hindus to dismiss the dogma of Christianity with the contempt it deserves, and pay attention to the Christian missionary apparatus planted in their midst. The sole aim of this apparatus is to ruin Hindus society and culture, and take over the Hindus homeland. It goes on devising strategies for every situation, favourable and unfavourable. It trains and employs a large number of intellectual criminals ready to prostitute their talents in the service of their paymasters and adept at dressing up dark designs in high-sounding language.
