Amazon India launches Self-Registration and Assisted Shipping service for sellers
Offers the most comprehensive and enabling suite of services for sellers in India
Self Service Registration and ‘Amazon Easy Ship’ will enable sellers to get online fast and enhance delivery capabilities
Bangalore, April 23, 2014: Amazon Seller Services Private Limited today announced the launch of two new capabilities, Self Service Registration (SSR) and Amazon Easy Ship for sellers in India. SSR provides sellers an accelerated and friction-free path to Selling on Amazon and with Amazon Easy Ship, sellers can leverage Amazon’s investments in logistics to have their orders on amazon.in shipped straight from their own warehouses. This will help them to improve their delivery experience and to scale and grow their online business cost effectively and profitably.
With these two new capabilities, coupled with the existing globally recognised offerings of Selling on Amazon (SOA) and Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA), Amazon.in now offers the most comprehensive suite of services that sellers of all sizes across India can use to go online on www.amazon.in and sell more and earn more.

Amazon Self Service Registration (SSR), enables sellers- irrespective of their size, location and size of catalogue, to self-register on the Amazon marketplace and start selling within a day without any third party intervention, making the process quick, easy, and transparent. Sellers can register on Amazon.in by visiting the Selling on Amazon section on services.amazon.in and clicking on the “register now” button. FAQs have been provided at each step to guide on how to self-register. Sellers can even sign-up for Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) through this channel. Currently the service is open for sellers across categories like books, music, movies, video games (games and consoles), mobiles and tablets, computers and accessories, camera, audio and video electronics, home and kitchen (except large appliances), toys, sports, fitness & outdoor and luggage. “Our trials of SSR over the last few weeks saw thousands of sellers register from across India in a couple of days including places like Ladakh, Darbhanga, Bhilai, Karur, Panipat, Anand, Aurangabad, Udaipur and many more places,” Deshpande further adds.
Amazon Easy Ship, is an assisted shipping service that delivers a worry free shipping experience for sellers shipping products from their warehouse to buying customers. With Amazon Easy Ship, sellers can manage both prepaid and COD orders. All that the seller has to do is pack the shipment and confirm to Amazon that they are ready to ship. Amazon Logistics collects the shipment and ensures that the product is delivered to customers in 2-4 days. Sellers benefit from low shipping rates, pre-paid and COD orders, shipment pickup, fast delivery and automated shipment tracking. Customers benefit from track-able shipments, option of placing COD orders and faster and predictable delivery times.
