Amazon.in opens its seventh Fulfilment Centre in Maharashtra

With a combined storage capacity of more than 2.2 million cubic feet, Maharashtra emerges as the state with the largest FC footprint for Amazon; enabling thousands of SMEs from Maharashtra to grow profitably in the emerging digital economy

Mumbai, November 25, 2015: : Amazon Seller Services Pvt. Ltd. (ASSPL) today inaugurated its seventh Fulfilment Centre (FC), spread over close to 230,000 square feet with more than 1 million cubic feet of storage space in Bhiwandi near Mumbai. With this FC, Maharashtra emerges as the state with the largest fulfilment and storage capacity for Amazon in India.

Inaugurating the new centre, Mr. Bhushan Gagrani, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, said “We are very proud that Amazon has chosen to continually expand its presence in Maharashtra.
