About Action for Autism
For two decades, Action For Autism has set up and facilitated services and replicated them across India and beyond: schools, vocational centres and parent empowerment programs among others. AFA supports individuals with Autism to become self-advocates and lobby for their rights, carries out research, publishes manuals and trains parents and professionals. AFA impacts over 5000 beneficiaries a year, and enables children and their families build a life of hope.

AFA runs services for children and adults with Autism. The program is conducted in two phases - for children and adolescent below 18 years, followed by vocational training for adults with Autism. Currently, AFA has limited capacity and the rising numbers of instances of Autism demand acute need to scale up.

Early phase of AFA’s Program seeks to help children and adolescents with Autism by teaching, training and behavior modification to help them integrate them into the mainstream and lead an independent and dignified life. To achieve this AFA urgently needs furniture, learning aids, books, computers, CDs, educational toys/games and host of items for sensory integration of children with Autism. These include trampoline, Gym balls and toys that can make light and sound.
