Child in Need Institute (CINI)
Child in Need Institute (CINI) is a non-profit social development organization of India. It caters to around seven million people across entire West Bengal (WB) and Jharkhand. CINI has been instrumental in highlighting the marginalized sections of the society through its various integrated and community-based interventions and programmes. Founded in 1974 by paediatrician Dr. Samir Chaudhuri, CINI has always aimed at bettering the lives of women, children and young people placed in diverse conditions of vulnerability. CINI stands firmly on the dedicated workmanship of 1500 professionals working for sustainable development in health, nutrition, education and protection of child, adolescent and woman in need. CINI works in partnership with central and state governments, national and international donors, corporates and local communities to help mothers and children break the cycle of poverty.
