1. What is the Citi Credit or Debit Card Offer ("Offer")?

(a) Shop on Amazon.in using your Citi Credit or Debit Card to avail 10% cashback up to a maximum of Rs.2,000
The cashback amount will be credited to the eligible Cardholder’s primary account to which the Citi Credit or Debit Card is linked by January 08, 2018.
(b) The Offer is available from 4th October to 8th October, 2017 ("Offer Period").
(c) The Offer is applicable for a transaction on Amazon.in (Site and/or App) using your Citi Credit or Debit Card during the Offer Period, for a minimum of Rs.3,000 per transaction
(d) The Offer is applicable for a successful transaction, upon adjustment for refunds, conducted on Amazon.in (Site and/or App) using your Citi Credit or Debit Card during Offer Period.
(e) The maximum cumulative cashback for Amazon.in customers is Rs.2,000 per card, irrespective of the number of purchases made on Amazon.in during the Offer Period. 
(f) Any cancelled order(s) will not be eligible for cash back and the amount of such orders will be adjusted from the transaction amount for the purpose of the Offer.

2. How can I avail this offer?

Shop as usual with your Citi Credit or Debit Card to pay. As long as Rs.3,000 or more is charged to your Citi Credit or Debit Card while making a purchase on amazon.in/Amazon App, you will be entitled to avail the cashback offer.

3. When will I get the cash back?

The applicable cash back under this Offer will be credited to the eligible customer’s Bank account linked with Citi Credit or Debit Card latest by January 08, 2018.

4. What is the minimum transaction size for the cashback for the duration of the event?

The minimum transaction amount to avail cash back is Rs. 3,000 in a single transaction on Amazon.in, net of refunds and cancellations.

5. Would I get cashback if I make a part payment using my Apay Balance ?

Yes, you would get cashback but only on the amount charged on your Citi Card. Also, to avail cashback, your Citi Credit or Debit Card should be charged for a minimum amount of Rs. 3,000. For example, if total transaction amount is Rs. 8000, and Rs 2000 is paid using APay Balance and Rs. 6000 is paid using Citi Card, then cashback would be given on Rs 6000 and not Rs. 8000. Similarly, if Rs 6000 is paid using APay balance and Rs 2000 paid using Citi Card, then customer would not get any cashback because the amount paid using Citi Card is less than Rs. 3000.

6. What is the maximum cash back that I can avail?

The maximum cash back per card is Rs. 2,000 across Site and App during the Offer Period. Add-on cards linked to the same account will be considered as separate cards.

7. Is cash back under this Offer applicable on credit and debit cards?

Yes, the cashback is available on both, Citi Credit or Debit Card.

8. Can I avail cash back on credit card on EMI?

Yes, the cash back under this Offer is also applicable on EMI availed on Citi Credit Cards.

9. Can I avail cash back on card payment for cash on delivery orders? Are net Banking transactions also included in this Offer?

Yes, the cash back under this Offer is also applicable on card payment (only through Citi Credit or Debit Card) made for cash on delivery orders placed during the Offer Period i.e. customers who have chosen the option of cash-on-delivery while placing an order and chose to use Citi Credit or Debit Card for payment on delivery of the order. However, please note that the facility for payment through cards on delivery is subject to availability of the card accepting machine at the time of delivery and the same cannot be guaranteed. In order to not lose out on the benefits under the Offer, we highly recommend that you pay with your Citi Credit or Debit Card online at the time of placing the order.
Further, net Banking transactions are NOT included in this Offer.

10. My Amazon.in order includes Amazon.in Gift Card(s); will I be eligible for a cash back under this Offer? Is the Offer applicable on purchase of all products?

No, the cash back under this Offer is not applicable on purchase of:

  • Gift Card(s) (Amazon branded and Non Amazon branded)
  • Prepaid phone recharges
  • Bank cards (such as RBL and ticket compliments GCs)
  • Samsung mobile and tablet devices, except for Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro, Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro, Galaxy A9 Pro Gold, Galaxy A5 2017, Galaxy A7 2017, Galaxy J3, Galaxy j5 2016, Galaxy J7 Prime (16 GB) and Samsung Galaxy On8 mobile devices
  • Apple iPhone 8 and Apple iPhone 8 Plus products with Jio Buyback Offer
  • Redmi 4A mobile phones
  • Gold & precious jewelry items (including silver, diamond, platinum)

Hence, if your order contains any of the above, your cash back under this Offer will be the amount net of the amount towards the above items.

11. My payment failed while placing the order; will I be eligible for the cash back under this Offer?

Terms & Conditions


  1. This Citibank offer ("Offer") is made available to you by Citibank N.A. ("Citibank") and Amazon Pay (India) Private Limited ("Amazon") on the website www.amazon.in and the mobile site and mobile application thereof (collectively "Amazon.in").
  2. A resident of India holding a valid and current debit card or credit card issued by Citibank (each a "Card") is eligible to avail the Offer (each a "Cardholder"). Cardholders holding a Citibank credit card with payment outstanding dues of more than 30 days will not be entitled to avail the Offer.
  3. The Offer is valid from October 4, 2017 to October 8, 2017 (both days inclusive) ("Offer Duration"), unless extended or revoked by Amazon (in its sole discretion), without any prior notice and without any liability.
  4. Under this Offer, any Cardholder who, during the Offer Duration, makes any purchase on Amazon.in (except for the excluded and ineligible products) and makes payment for the said purchase transaction using a Card, will be entitled to receive a cashback equivalent to 10% of the purchase value, provided the purchase value for such transaction is equivalent to or exceeds a minimum of INR 3,000 on a per transaction basis.
  5. The Offer is not valid on purchase of the following excluded / ineligible products:

  6. Under this Offer, each Cardholder can avail a maximum cashback of INR 2,000 per Card, irrespective of number of purchases made on Amazon.in during the Offer Duration, using the Card.
  7. This Offer is also applicable on payment made by Cardholders using the 'Cash on Delivery' payment option provided that: (a) the order(s) is placed by the Cardholders on Amazon.in during the Offer Duration; and (b) the Cardholder, at the time of delivery of the order, makes the payment via a card accepting machine carried by the delivery associate, using the Card. In the event, for any reason, the card accepting machine is not available or is not working, the Cardholders will not be entitled to avail the Offer.
  8. The cashback amount will be credited by Citibank to the eligible Cardholder’s Card account (to which the Card is linked) by January 8, 2018.
  9. Any query regarding the Offer will be entertained by Citibank only during the Offer Duration. Any query / issue in relation to the cashback will be entertained by Citibank only till February 8, 2018. Post such date, Citibank will not entertain any correspondence or communication regarding this Offer or the cashback from any person.
  10. Citibank and/or Amazon do not endorse any of the products or brands being offered on Amazon.in and will not accept any liability pertaining to the quality, merchantability, fitness, delivery or after sales service of such products.
  11. In case of cancellation of your transaction(s) (for any reason whatsoever), the concerned purchase transaction will not qualify for the Offer. If a part of your order is cancelled, you will qualify for the Offer only on the net amount of the purchase transaction you pay, on the basis of minimum eligibility amount (INR 3,000 in a single transaction) provided under these Offer Terms.
  12. In a scenario where the Cardholder returns the order, the Cardholder will not qualify for the Offer and the participation of the Cardholder will be deemed to be withdrawn.
  13. Citibank reserves the right to disqualify a Cardholder from the benefits of the Offer if any fraudulent activity is identified as being carried out for the purpose of availing the Offer.
  14. Under no circumstance will benefit being offered under this Offer be settled with cash in lieu by Citibank or Amazon.
  15. The offer is also valid on equated monthly installment (EMI) transactions.
  16. Amazon reserves the right, at any time, without prior notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever, to add/alter/modify/change or vary all of these terms and conditions or to replace, wholly or in part, this offer by another offer, whether similar to this Offer or not.
  17. By participating in this Offer, every Cardholder expressly agrees that Amazon or any of its affiliates will not be liable or responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever that a Cardholder may suffer, directly or indirectly, in connection with this Offer.
  18. Any disputes arising out of this Offer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi.
  19. All disputes between the Cardholders and Citibank will be resolved inter se, and Amazon will not (nor will be liable or obliged to) mediate or resolve any dispute or disagreement between the Cardholders and Citibank.
  20. Nothing herein amounts to a commitment by Citibank or Amazon to conduct further, similar or other offers.
  21. The above Offer is by way of a special offer for Cardholders only and nothing contained herein shall prejudice or affect the terms and conditions of the respective Card. These Offer Terms are in addition to and not in derogation of the terms contained in the respective Card's terms and conditions.
  22. Cardholders are not bound in any manner to participate in the Offer. Any such participation is voluntary and the same is being made purely on a "best effort basis".
  23. Any person availing this Offer shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
