The colors on the spectrum really only show in sunlight or under direct light. Not as bright as pictured, but more unique than a chrome zippo would be. Also this DOES NOT come filled with lighter fluid! No Zippo ever comes with fluid in it.
When buying lighter fluid, buy the actual authentic Zippo brand fluid. No, I don't work for Zippo. It's just what I found to work best with the lighters (owned 3 so far)
A little warning for the first time zippo buyer, you have to fill your lighter up every 1-2 in a half weeks, depending on how much you use it.That's the way they are. Also expect to eventually replace the wick and flint and clean it every so often. These tasks are not really that hard to do, but if you just don't want to deal with that, buy a butane or electric lighter insert. Zippo's are more for appearance and style than anything.
When filling it up, do NOT fill it up all the way to the point where the cotton balls are soaked in fuel and it's dripping everywhere. For a fire to start, it needs something to set on fire, a spark, and OXYGEN. Lighter fluid releases a gas and that is what you are lighting, so if the chimney is completely filled with lighter vapor it will be very hard to get a consistent light from it. Better to fill every other day half full than to fill it up like your car every 2 weeks.
Enjoy your new lighter!
That said, it's a mirrored lime green - and it should be named such. But, if you want a shade of green that is subtle and awesome, this is the one for you.

(I'll update this if my opinion of the lighter changes)
This is my first of the Zippo Slim line of lighters. I was worried the Spectrum effect would end up looking like an oil slick, but the picture really doesn't do it justice. It is, in fact, a spectrum of colors, most of them light or pastel. The size is perfect for a small or female hand and as such it seems just a bit more feminine.
It's still a Zippo - lights every time, feels great in your hand and has that satisfying trademark *click* when you flip it open. I recommend it.
Here's why I love Zippos:
When it runs out of gas it doesn't go to the landfill, it get's refilled.
The people that made it are making a living wage right here in the USA not slaving away in a Chinese sweatshop.
It's made of metal that could stop a bullet, there's not a shred of plastic in it.
It's guaranteed for eternity. If your Zippo was damaged by a nuclear explosion they will fix and/or replace it.
It's just cool!
I withheld one star because the Slim lacks slightly compared to an original. It's smaller so it requires more frequent refills and it can't stand up to the wind like the regular size. It doesn't really lend itself to Zippo tricks either!
All in all another great product from a great American company.
