I have been using this product for about 2 weeks. Facing a weird issue out of many issues. Whenever the soundbar changes to wifi mode it makes a large notification sound called 'wifi mode'. It doesn’t make any such loud announcement for bluetooth or ARC or any other mode. The sound is very loud and unbearable. Can this be fixed somehow? I am sure I would get a response as 'No', just trying my luck. Whenever the mode changes, a distinguishable beep is ok, but don’t understand why the bar makes such a loud sound and that too for only wifi mode which I use maximum. For example, I connect my soundbar to the TV through HDMI ARC, and when I switch off the TV, the sound mode changes to wifi automatically, which is fine, but suddenly the loud notification comes as 'wifi mode'. This is really causing irritation. I am sure this can be fixed as there is no loud sound comes up for other modes such as bluetooth etc.
Also, the sound range is not properly distributed. For example, vol1 is too low and vol2 is very loud and this is something really irritating most of the times. There should be a gradual increase of the volume not sudden increase from vol1 to vlo2. If I want to lower the volume by just a little not too much while we are speaking, I can't do that, if I press vol1, it becomes almost null. Vol2 range is so loud that I can’t think of using range vol3 ,4 etc. There are many such minor but important user experience issues in this product. But as I said I wanted a sound bar with built in Alexa, and there is none other than this Zeb in this range. I hope the next version would be a better one.
If the company address these minor issues, this could be the highest selling product in its price. Some of my friends who experienced this soundbar in my home also thought of buying this one but avoided due to the above-mentioned minor but irritating issues.
I have raised this as a concern to the technical support team, but not expecting any resolution going by the Indian standards for after sales support.
Sound quality is average. But that's what one can expect at this price. I bought this for Alexa and that works like a charm. Most irritating part of this product is the installation and instructions etc. The first time I received a product that was surely repackaged with the package worn out and some of the parts missing. I replaced that with another one. The companion app should be more user friendly. Also the buttons are difficult to use due to its position and visibility.
