Product description

X-Men Quadrilogy is a set of four DVDs that are a part of the X-Men film series produced by 20th Century Fox, based on characters from the Marvel Universe. Released in 2010, this set contains the first four films in the iconic series that made comic book movies a mainstream attraction.

X-Men

X-Men, the first film in the series directed by Bryan Singer and released in 2000, introduces the viewer to Professor Charles Xavier and the gifted students of Xavier Academy in their ongoing conflict with Magneto’s Brotherhood of Mutants. The young mutants are aided by Wolverine and Rogue, in their quest to save humankind from Magneto’s plan to mutate world leaders in the United Nations.

X2: X-Men United

X2: X-Men United, also directed by Bryan Singer, sees Prof. Xavier’s X-Men join forces with Magneto’s Brotherhood to combat the common threat of Colonel William Stryker, a man with a personal vendetta to rid the world of mutants. The Xavier Academy is under attack, and the mutants have to flee and fend for themselves.

X-Men: Last Stand

X-Men: Last Stand is the first film in the series to be directed by Brett Ratner. It deals with the Dark Phoenix Saga from the comic books in which the mutants find themselves facing Phoenix, the out of control alter-ego of Jean Grey, a former ally.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the first prequel in the series. It focuses on tracing the origins of Wolverine, as a young mutant discovering his power and his life before coming into contact with the X-Men. It deals with his involvement with the secret organisation, Team X, as part of the Weapon X program headed by William Stryker, and also with his relationship with his vicious half-brother, Victor Creed.

The X-Men Quadrilogy boxset, released in 2010 from 20th Century Fox, includes 4 DVDs. The films have a combined runtime of 478 minutes. All four films have an A rating.
