I would like to suggest other books that you might find helpful to your recovery: Wounded by God's People by Anne Graham Lotz, How To Rise Above Abuse: Victory for Victims of Five Types of Abuse by June Hunt, The Emotionally Destructive Relationship by Leslie Vernick, & The Trauma Zone by R. Dandridge Collins, P.H.D.
Lastly I wish to extend my thanks to Amazon.com & Amazon Market Place for carrying a wide range of books on this very painful topic.
Lastly to the reader who is brave enough to begin this painful journey, you are not alone.
Still, there is much to be said for the solutions portion of the book, about setting boundaries, loving yourself, and finding a new life for yourself. All in all it is a good book to help people who are trying to grieve and get through the ravages of emotional abuse.
the spoken word-the permanent damage. Yet many people accept the diagnosis of PTSD as an aftereffect pf POWs being brainwashed. Being told
every day that you're worthless, ugly, stupid--and worse, in so many ways---this book really nails it!! It's not easy to read & relive the hurt, but it
is like pulling an infected splinter out of your heart--the healing is SO worth it!
