Some people in the review section have been complaining that they got the censored Middle East versions, but luckily I got the original uncensored version. The seller was PREPAIDGAMERCARDcom. Unlike the other first party switch games, this one came in a thicker box and aside from the game cartridge it also contained a game manual explaining some of the in-game universe and main characters, a physical map of the in-game universe and a couple of stickers. Happy to see that CD PROJEKT RED went the extra mile and included all these goodies.
For the game itself, I have only played about 40 hours so far, but it has been pretty good. Many of the characters are very well-developed and believable and many of the quests are excellent. The side quests especially are leagues better than most other open world games and some of them are really immersive.
As for the main quest, you basically have to track down a person by going to all the areas your target went through and convincing various people to divulge information about her by completing quests for them. This itself isn't very interesting but the quests your informants ask you to do are usually of a pretty high standard and often really meaningful (I especially liked the Bloody Baron quest). So the main quest itself is pretty good, although it is actually the quests of your informants that are usually the good ones.
With the newest updates (v3.4 at the time of this review) resolution and performance has been improved and the game generally looks decent enough although a handful of areas (some of the swamp/marshy areas)seem like they could really use some anti-aliasing. I don't know the exact resolution the game runs at, but it doesn't seem very blurry to me. Note that I exclusively play in PORTABLE mode only. Performance is very good and even in the most demanding areas like Novigrad city it usually holds up very well. It stutters rather occasionally only when you move quickly across vast stretches of densely filled areas, possibly because of all the loading and unloading going on. Now obviously it doesn't compare to the PS4 versions, but it does make a comfortable portable experience due to its decent graphics and good performance. The game is generally free of bugs and crashes and throughout my 40+ hours of playtime, it has only frozen once and crashed once.
I believe I have covered almost everything you might need to know before buying the game, so if you like action-adventure RPG games and like to play portably you should give this a try. One thing to note though is that though you do not need any knowledge of the universe or previous games to get into this, having a good understanding of the Witcher universe (from books or the Witcher fandom website) will certainly provide a much more fulfilling experience as you will be able to understand the universe and many of the important characters, their motives and their relation with Geralt much better. I will hopefully update this review once I have finished the game.

CD Projekt RED is one of my favorite developers because their games are always optimized and a Generation ahead of the system they are running on. They always put so many thoughts into their game that the world just feels alive and the Witcher 3 is no exception to that. Witcher 3 is also one of the most acclaimed games of that period and one of my favorite games standing with The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild.
Once you put the cartridge inside the console there is a small update which I believe is to be a language pack which is the only thing you need to download and the game is ready to play on the go. To think a game this massive ( with the main game and all the DLC's) was able to be put inside a cartridge alone is quite an achievement.
Of course, there would be some compromises with the port to be able to fit it and run on a tablet-like Switch but the real question is - was it worth it and the answer is ABSOLUTELY!
The visuals and textures are not as good as the other version of the game available on different platforms which is to be expected as the Switch is not that powerful but still it manages to look good on handheld mode and runs smoothly which is all I care about. what about the other compromises? Well, there is NONE. All of the weather effects, NPCs count, music tracks, etc everything is the same as other versions not to mention certain UI improvements specially made for a handheld system by the developer is a welcoming edition.
I am 70+ hours into the game and it feels and plays really good. If you don't have any other platform to play the game go for the switch version, it is still the same game with little to no compromises and an Amazing world to experience and behold.
if a port like Witcher 3 is possible where it looks and plays good, other developers are just making excuses to not bring their game into Switch saying hardware is limited.
PS: CD Projekt RED is the first Developer to use a 32GB memory card for the switch to put their game on, unlike others who give a code to download the game or put half of the game inside the cartridge and need us to download the other half. Thumbs UP for that.

I would have given this game 5 stars, but sometimes it hurts the thumbs to keep the buttons pressed for the horse to move long distances. Other than that its a great game, good graphics, loads of content, nice gameplay.

I bought this when the seller was “gamesplantimpex”.
The cover image showed that this was a north american version, but instead I got a middle east version.
The problem with that is a lot of the game is censored due to games having more restrictions there.
If you get a copy with arabic letters on it, do yourself a favor and return the game.
