The best part of the book is its characters. Goonj is such a relatable character. She is simple, naïve, confused and at the same time, she is sensitive and warm-hearted.
A good part of the book is interesting and a good part of it lacks pace. Some parts seem stretched while the others seem rushed. The writing definitely looks promising and shows a lot of creativity. I like the way the book incorporates romance pretty well in this thriller.
Quite frankly, the book is interesting and even though it has certain issues, I remember always looking forward to the next page – page after page. Taking this into consideration, I would say that the book scores decently in the entertainment quotient.
Firstly I loved how the book started. The father-daughter duo was amazing. I loved the writing style of the author. It's simple and crisp, one can connect with the story well. The plot that the author set was interesting. It was full of twists and turns. The way she described Goonj's nightmares was interesting. The narration style is again engaging. each and every chapter is well narrated, though there were some details missing.
It felt like an incomplete story. The author could have shared more details about the characters. Where did Goonj went was the question from the start. The characters that the author made were amazing. I loved Goonj's character. I liked Aarav's character, it was full of mystery.
There were many questions that I had while reading, and the end was confusing. Why was the neighbour suddenly nice to Goonj, was he the gunman? whom we found discussing? it was all confusing at the end. The pace was good. The flow of the story was smooth. I loved how the author described Sunrise and sunset.
One will witness many themes and emotions in this story. Love, friendship, relationship, hate, crime and many other themes were there in the story. I am waiting for the second part of the story. Why did they take Goonj, who was Aaarav, was he someone else? why he troubled goonj? and many more questions.
Strong Plot, crisp narration, Interesting characters and SImple Language. the author did a wonderful job.
It's a light read with lots of suspense and simple language. It's a quick read too.
If you love reading mystery books, go for It.
