Genre- Fiction, Sci-fi, Romance
White Sky is a short, quick read by the author with a pen name, HSD. It is the story of a young aspiring man, Kanishka.
Kanishka has been working in a reputed firm, with a reasonable pay but wants to join a business school. With his admissions in place, the concern is to get a relieving letter from his not- so- cooperative boss. Soon, crossing all hurdles, he enters the B-school, of his choice. Back in the rat race, the college pressure takes a toll on his performance and the always excellent student finds it difficult to prove himself. Just when he is losing hope, he finds inspiration and motivation in a mysterious girl. What will happen to him? Will he be able to keep up with his inspiration and achieve his goals?
The book is a combination of sci-fi, romance and philosophy. What seemed like a slow start, turned into an interesting plot but still could not keep me into it entirely. Certain things seemed stupid such as Kanishka’s inability to prepare a sound resume. I mean, this man had been working for a while, he can’t be so clueless about such basic things. Some scenes seemed as if it was his first time at studies and academics. The element of time travel and multiverse kept the interest to some extent. Also, I am quite happy with the title. I cannot find it related to the story. The language is easy and direct. Slight refinement can make it better as a book. Overall, it is recommended for beginners and those looking for a short read.

My review :-
The book The white sky more or less belongs to the romance genre though it has an elaborate introduction to the characters and take time to bring up the intended plot. The cover is very simple and the title is not related to the story but sounds good. The writing is too simple with easy English and not a complicated vocabulary but it seems to have dragged on with everything.
The story is of Kanishka, a cricket lover who aspires to resume his academics in business school but finds it really hard to get out of his work place without a jiffy. Once he has managed to be out of there, he finds it hard to cope up with studies and other activities along with the regret of missing on cricket. That's when a girl enters his life and takes a turn around. What's happens after that is what the story is all about.
The book has quite a few characters and the character of the protagonist has been developed well with good care. But it lags in introduction of his counterpart and makes a fuss. The story is carried really good with a good weightage given to it but lacks the factor of curiosity or thrill at any point in the book.
The unnecessary things have been dragged in the beginning which is a big let down for the story. But it still makes a good comeback and suits up to be a good one time read. I would recommend it in particular for the beginners and romance genre lovers.

The White sky is about a protagonist Kanishka who leaves his workplace and joins the prestigious National School of Business for pursuing MBA. The story is all about the obstacles and the overcomes kanishka faces during his workplace as well as while pursuing his MBA.
The book mostly speaks about a life of a student, how one undergoes the rigor of academics, the competitive environment, the pressure building around to achieve something and become something. In this struggle of becoming a graduate, kanishka finds himself falling for a girl who he has never known in his life but her beauty mesmerizes him so much that even after being a graduate and moving on with his life her memory still haunts him. .
The book has been well written, very less grammatical errors. Though the plot isn't strong enough to keep one engrossed in reading. It's a bit boring and slow paced. The main protagonist Kanishka's character is a bit dull lacking self confidence.
The story could have been well written since the author was well aversed with the language.
Plot: A reserved and introspective Kanishka overcomes the hurdles at his workplace and lands at the prestigious National school of business to pursue his higher studies. The rigor of academics, placements and the competitive environment completely turns his everyday life upside down and challenges his quiet personality. When it seems that all hopes are lost, an inspiring presence of a girl brings about an unbelievable turnaround even without her participation.
My Opinion: It's a real short book which depicts a short & cute yet a bold love story. The story revolves around a girl Kanishka who is bold & she is a workaholic. Her first priority is career & but until one day she meets someone who changes her life forever. There are many twists & turns in the book which keeps the reader on edge. Guys, these days I am reading alot of short books so it hardly takes 2 hours to complete it. This book from those short books which hardly consumed my time. The main protagonist is shown very elegantly which was the best part of the book. Taking about the cover- It's again average looking cover & I personally think it could have been more better. But, the title is chosen well. .
Pros: First thing, the book is cost effective & I guess everyone can afford it. It's a short read & won't consume much time. The author is good at expressing emotions which was the thing that held me throughout the book. Many twists & turns helped me complete it in one sitting. Characters were good, inshort ot was a good read.
Cons: Despite many good qualities, the writing was immature & lacked stability at times.
