Characters were relatable & had my empathy, but there was something that didn't push the story towards the pinnacle.
Situations didn't make a mark, some were cliched like straight out of a movie we had seen.
Still though, the author did a commendable job with his easy prose, thoughtful moments & enjoyable quirks of the Characters.
Loved this Debut novel !
After reading many reviews, I purchased it and started reading this funny bok about a teenager jai who is forced to join engineering which he doesn't like instead of following his dream to become an actor.
He runs away from house and encounters a fat Tamil Brahmin who is in his mid 30's.
Its a nice Sunday afternoon read which gives a great message.
Its really a heart warming tale of their conversation and the harsh reality of the world.
As a 14 year old teenager , I learnt one important lesson for life .
My parents give me complete freedom . So at the start the story did not interest me........but as it proceeded , I just couldn't stop reading . The simplicity of the langauge and use of poweful terms left a great impact on me !
I would just say .. another awesome book from another awesome Author ..
the book is totaly worth it
Now would I like to see a bollywood flick based on the book. NO! I am a staunch believer that movies kill the essence of books. I have loved the book to bits and feel that the author has put his heart and soul into it. Looking forward to more of his writings. 😊
Although I don't read Indian fiction much and just bought it because I was getting a good discount when I was book shopping. This novel will feel a little filmy but anyone who loves stories will definitely enjoy it and for me it was worth the money I paid for it.
