When Angels Cry: A Novel Paperback – Import, 30 Oct 2014
"In When Angels Cry, Jennifer Edwards has drawn from her own unique life to create a heroine who navigates the nuances of modern relationships as a professional woman, lover, mother, and daughter. Her novel, which had to be taken into the bathtub because I couldn't it put down, is sexy, funny, and emotionally resonant--just like the author herself." --Tracy Nelson, actress

At some point we all come to recognize our parents as people, with lives very different then our childhood, narcissistic perceptions. In Edwards' novel there is an elegant twist that affords a satisfying closure to the family angst.
This first novel is a window that promises an intricate future. The final chapters are the shocking twist that satisfy..
The graceful story line is accompanied by a bawdy character reveal, which makes an amusing and very unique combination.
I look forward to future novels from this fine writer!
I had to smile at Ms. Edwards' subtle nods to her stepmom on pages 135 and 175!
I really recommend this book and I hope the author gives us more!
(A note for future editions: the word "pallets" on pg 10 should be "palates".)
