What really stood out for me was the author’s smooth style of writing, given the attention to detail as well as depth of characters, not to mention the precise staging of every scene. At no point did I find my attention lag or skim through the details. In fact, more than once, I went back to check a specific detail which had caught my eye and which synced back to some occurrence in the present. The other stand out point was the sheer eloquence with which it has been written, without sounding pretentious at any point. It allowed me to play out the happenings in my mind, as if I was right there in the story, which has not happened for me with a book, in a long time.
Given this book is the first novel of Sakshama Puri Dhariwal, I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next time around. Highly recommend this one!
P.S. While reading this book, do read it all the way till the acknowledgements. Don’t recall the last time an acknowledgement was this much fun while being heartfelt and an author who puts in that kind of thought and effort is surely here to stay!
Personi are on expected lines. There is wit and good humour in abundance. I am myself a keen photographer (only my hobby) and as such I
Identified myself completely with the book's photographer , her problems and her solutions. The writer has a very peppy style, her vocabulary
is vast and the narration is interesting. Storyline is good. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
Plus; I was so stocked to red about the place I actually live in; in a romance - is this how American Readers feel when they read about their hometown? Because if yes, then IT IS FREAKING AWESOME!
Loved the writing style; the character developments and the wonderful chemistry between Arjun and Risha - though I do wish Arjun had grovelled a whole lot harder to win the forgiveness of Risha - nevertheless I definitely enjoyed this little beauty! <3
So pick up a copy of this wonderful book by Sakshama Puri Dhariwal that makes you feel all warm, fuzzy and happy!
