Avinash Kaushik is the leading authority in the Web Analytics world and his book is simply amazing.

Google Analytics does have a steep learning curve and those reading this book should have some background in some analytics(Google Analytics/Omniture) program. Like bicycling, analytics is not something you learn by reading a book alone. The target audience is people who have access to a analytics program with a good amount of data so that they can apply the ideas in the book to slice and dice the data.

Heard a lot about Avinash, and after reading his blog, I was convinced that he is the best. So I finally decided to buy this book. I am not an analytics guy, but I am interested in learning what it is.

So far, I have gone through the table of contents and read a little description. I am pretty excited.

Wait! So why did I write the review? If I didn't read the description

Because in description itself, I have learned that there are many other tools beyond google analytics. For most pros, it is hard to understand, but for a newbie, even such insights are important.

If you want to understand the fundamentals of Digital Analytics this is a must have book. The best way to read the book after first few chapters is to practice reports on your Analytics account.
