It basically starts off from where the first book ended but with a small story about a vision of the characters had. The significance of that particular vision is very high that it changes the course of the story towards the end. Avanti has faced a heavy damage from the attacks and the state of the people and the Samrat Vikramaditya is very pitiful. The dilemma faced by the Samrat as to whether he did the did the right thing by accepting the dagger from the omniscient one or not, can be felt by the readers by the way author has narrated the series of events.
In this book, a lot of sides stories crept in and the main story hasn’t progressed very much. But we get to know some important things about Vikramaditya’s past. Indra’s son comes into the plot to prove his worth to his father and to the girl he loves.
One more fact about this story is that, people who come to destroy the city and get the dagger from Vikramaditya, help the country and the Samrat unknowingly to a great extent.
The internal politics of the country is also coming neck and neck with the other problems faced by the Samrat. Shukracharya is identified and once the Samrat gets to know his motive, he sends him back to his adobe, banishing him from the country. At last, Vikramaditya is completely broken by the complex turn of events which makes me ask the author one question,
Why you do this to us, Sir? Why?
One more intriguing fact is that the author has changed the title of the series to Vikramaditya Veergatha from Vikramaditya Trilogy. I think the series is not going to stop with three books.
Excellent read! My rating – 4.5/5
Right from the beginning, you will be drawn into the Sindhuvarta world. Such is the description of the surroundings that one will start seeing the things happening in the novel as if they are happening in front of us.
There is no dearth of action and thrill in the 2nd part as well. There are some characters whom you will you will love and some you will feel pity
Climax, again is a masterstroke and highly unexpected. At one point of time I felt, wish I was there to warn the protagonists about the lurking danger. Such is the impact of the writing.
Waiting Eagerly for the next installment!!
