was expecting something scratch proof or not so easily scratchable considering the price paid for the knife
small blade; can opener; screwdriver 3 mm;
bottle opener; screwdriver 6 mm; wire stripper; reamer, punch and sewing awl;
corkscrew; scissors; multipurpose hook;
toothpick;tweezers;key ring.
I liked everything about the product except it's price which is in the higher end of the scale.
A descent product with a slightly bloated price at best and on top of that you get a used piece. Shameful. Just because india is a third world country you get this kind of treatment. Shameful

I love how these handy multi tools are UK legal (no locking blade and less than 3 inches for the cutting edge) sliding in to my work trousers taking up next to no space. With 10 (including the tweezers and toothpick) recessed tools ranging from a corkscrew positioned on the underside of the item, to a 6cm blade (main knife) making it ideal for any task. I use it mainly for cutting open banding and boxes, it feels incredibly robust and I am confident it will last a life time. I purchased this at the beginning of March 2020 for a price of £18.73, which I feel is well worth it for how versatile this tool actually is. I also ordered a pouch to go with it ASIN B000MLUHW8, and I can confirm the Pouch 5/8 accommodates this SAK without issue.

The product comes in frustration-free packaging and inside there is a silver/grey small box holding your Swiss army knife and instructions with warranty information.
The blades come razor sharp out of the box and it's slightly oiled to give a high sheen and easy folding in and out of the components.
The upper sides of the Swiss army knife house a plastic toothpick (replacements available online) and a set of tweezers, which are prefect for splinters.
Each housed instrument has a notch to ease their folding in and out of the housing.
A key-ring hook tops the housing for attachment.
The thing I love most about Victorinox Swiss army knives is their lifetime guarantee. Should any part of the Swiss army knife fail, you can send it or take it into a workshop for repair or replacement. This gives complete peace of mind that it's fit for purpose, whatever you throw at it.
I now have 3 Victorinox in my collection and I'm never without one of them. Various different attachments are suitable for different purposes - so I take my hiker model when I'm going camping, as it has a very handy saw attachment. This model I use for everyday purposes; with the scissors replacing the saw and the corkscrew replacing a philips screwdriver head.
With a lifetime guarantee and a proven track record of quality, you can't beat the authentic Swiss army knives. I've had a few copies in my time and they're no where near the quality of the original.

The quality of the Victorinox knives is excellent, and they will last for ever if given a little oil very occasionally.

Most useful is the pair of scissors to cut fingernails and open packets of food. I do need to open letters, parcels, tins, bottles of wine.
Sure there are models with more gadgets but I don't want the extra bulk in my pocket for things I do not need.
I don't need to saw through things, or a magnifying glass for example.
I bought one for my 18-year-old niece to take to university, she says she uses it often. I bought one for my 14-year-old niece to take to Duke of Edinburgh camps, but she didn't take it. I think she likes it so much didn't want to lose it, but it will be useful around the home.
I don't know why this model is called "Climber", it is more of a sensible general-purpose tool.
Of course, you should choose the model that best matches the owner's needs.

I also got a leather case for it on a Cyber deal so it was affordable for me. I think it's a great little knife to have with you, I'm sure my brother will be pleased just to have the SAK for the sake of it. I also have a Leatherman Rebar which is also excellent but comparing them is impossible because they all do what they are supposed to do very well. Lifetime guarantee what else can you say for a knife like this ? I'm sure he'll make good use of it as I do with my knives, without heavy abuse it should last a long long time.
