Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is the latest installment of the award winning Uncharted series from acclaimed developer Naughty Dog. Launching exclusively for the PlayStation 4 system, A Thief’s End delivers the most thrilling Uncharted adventure yet with new gameplay mechanics, larger, more open environments, and enhanced graphics and animations that showcase the power of the PS4 system.
Set three years after Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Nathan Drake has presumably left the world of fortune hunting behind. It doesn’t take long for adventure to come calling when Drake’s brother, Sam, resurfaces seeking his help and offering an adventure Drake can’t resist. On the hunt for Captain Henry Avery’s long-lost treasure, Sam and Drake set off to find Libertalia, the pirate utopia deep in Madagascar. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End takes players on a journey through jungle isles, urban cities and snow-capped peaks on the search for Avery’s fortune.

Although "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" was my first purchase for "PS4" but with the purchase of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End", I feel like that the purchase is justified given its content and its value for money!! This is my first true "PS4 Game" in all its entirety!!
When this game was initially released, I was bit confused as to why it didn't launched on the "PS3" as such since games like "FIFA" and "Call Of Duty" still release for "PS3" today. But when I had played this on PS4, I truly feel that the experience would not have been satisfactory enough if it would have been released on the PS3!!
Being the only game(in the "Series") which has been released on the PS4 and therefore being an "Exclusive", it is no doubt that this game fully utilizes the potentiality of the PS4's hardware in each and every way!! As soon as you would get to play this, you would be impressed to a great extent as game developers at "Naughty Dog" have truly outdone themselves!!
This game feels so alike and yet so different!! Alike because we are aware of the background, the gameplay, the storyline and its characters. And different because all these aspects and many more have been "revolutionized" to give an entirely new experience!! This game is "BIG" in every way!! The mechanics, combat, characters, cutscenes, and the production value are truly extravagant!! It never feels like you are playing a "Game" but it feels as if you are watching an "Action-Adventure Movie" as a matter of fact!! And that is truly an "Outstanding Achievement" by Naughty Dog!!
Join "Nathan Drake" as he sets out, with his brother "Samuel Drake" to find "Henry Avery's" treasure. Although it's for the last time, but in the end, you won't get a feeling of "Emptiness" but rather "Happiness" and "Satisfaction" to have played a game which can be said as a "Modern Classic" which has raised the bar and standard for all "Video Games" as a matter of fact and comparisons with all the games in "Future" would be "inevitable".
Overall, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" delivers what it promises: "Sheer Entertainment" and a "Worthwhile Experience"!! The experience has been wonderful!!
Hats off to Naughty Dog and to the entire team of "Uncharted" for culminating the series in the most biggest way which could not have been any bigger!! The pay-off was worth it!!
Hope this review would have been helpful to you.
The seal on the disc is intact, but the disc inside the box is loose from it's slot. When I opened the disc, it has bagged a lot of scratches on it. It hurt me for sure. So much for a brand new disc right? You don't want that.
But to my luck, when I inserted the disc and tested, to my surprise the disc actually worked. I am not sure though for how long it will be that way. I hope to play the game completely without it hanging up on my face somewhere in middle of the game. Some of my old discs with scratches like this one, actually behaves that way.
I would not say that the disc is a used one. But it could have been well packaged for the delivery. Or maybe we never know that it was like that even when they picked it for shipping. After seeing all this kinda gimmicks, I would honestly think that buying digital version is the best thing to do. The games will be yours forever, of course for those who intends to sell the games after using it would be a waste. But am not that guy, I actually have never sold any of my old consoles or games. It's all there with me. So for people like me, digital downloads are the best option. Think about it.
Update: I am revising this rating to be purely based on game experience, since I managed to give delivery and seller rating separately. My rating for this game is '5'.
Not going into the nit-picks of the game This time the story is focused on Nathan and his efforts to the find the lost treasure of Captain Henry Every a notorious pirate during the 1700's. Me being honest here this is one of the best games of 2016. This is also the longest game in the series as well as most open the series has ever been in terms of exploration. It's not GTA level of open but an somewhat respectable level of open for a linear story based game. Their is a issue with the length of the game as it gets to be long because of the amount of climbing, jumping and swingging you do in the game. It's not long because of the story but instead because of the level design. Other than that it's a fine polished game. The story starts slow if compared to previous entries but catches up as you play on. Visually it is one of the best looking games on console. With great lighting and particle effects. Even the small things are given much attention like how Nathan's tip of the pants keeps swifting up and down as he swings, it's not something you would notice but when you do you really start appreciating the level of hard work Naughty Dog has put in.
Scoring the game,
Gameplay - 8/10
Story - 9/10
Visuals - 10/10
Sound - 8.9/10
Replayability - 7/10
Overall score - 8.6/10
(Note :- Multiplayer wasn't tested so it wasn't included for the final score.)
This is one of the finest games Sony has ever put out and is a shining example of what Naughty Dog is capable of and why they are a valuable force for Sony. If you did so take the time to read this review then go ahead and get this game. This is Drake's last and most personal adventure.
