TDA charges 50 cents more to ship from New York, so they got here really fast.
The product is great and adds no excess protrusion from your device.
I use mine on a Nexus 7 which does not have an SD card slot. This adapter also works on my Nokia 521 Windows Phone for easy transfers.
There is not a lot of metal and plastic connection your flash drive or mouse receiver, etc., to your phone or tablet,
so some care needs to be taken to avoid bending the connector or snapping it off. The worst would be to damage the micro USB on the phone or tablet. I recommend not leaving anything attached when you are finished using the flash drive to avoid accidentally bending or breaking the adapter.
Also, If the flash drive protrudes more than about 3/4 inch (19mm), I would use an OTG adapter with a short four inch cable, because the cable will absorb any jolt before the connector has to.
Getting five of these is great because they are tiny, so they will get lost easily. That's why they come with a case.
Works flawlessly with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with OEM Kitkat 4.4.4, my rooted Hisense Sero 7 Pro tablet running AOSP 4.4.4 Kitkat and my Nvidia Shield Tablet with OEM Marshmallow 6.0.
Ordered on April 2nd and received on the 15th. Not bad for shipping from China.
EDIT (06/23/2016): These are also awesome for use with the Raspberry Pi Zero! Use them with USB WiFi adapters, wireless keyboard dongles, or to connect a USB hub.
I'm using one with one of these $4 USB WiFi adapters WiFi Dongle for pcDuino/Raspberry Pi and it's working perfectly. The fit was a bit tight, I had to use pliers to get it out the first few times, but after a few insert/remove cycles it loosened up. On the other hand, both the OTG adapter and the USB WiFi adapter are inexpensive enough to just dedicate one to your Zero. If you edit the /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf file on the microSD card to add your wireless SSID and encryption key, the Zero can be booted completely headless and will connect to your network automatically, then you can SSH in to control it.
I have also used these to connect a 4-port powered USB hub (OTG adapter into the USB cable from the hub). I used two ports of the hub for the WiFi adapter and a micro-USB cable to power the Pi-Zero from the hub itself. That left two more USB ports available, and I only used one outlet to power both the hub and the computer.
Stick one into whatever standard USB male connector and boom - it plugs into your phone (unless it is of the Apple variety.) I didn't even know you could use a mouse on an Android device, it really surprised me to see a cursor on my phone screen when I hooked up (of all things) an Apple Magic Mouse to my Samsung phone. This is going to be great when it comes to playing games on the go with some of my favorite USB controllers.
Oh, and let's be really honest for a moment - at this price, how on Earth can you go wrong? They're inexpensive, stronger than they look, and will probably outlive the devices you stick them into. This would be a bargain at twice the price.
