Twisted Palace was a perfect read! I loved this series so much. I was so excited to read this book and especially after how book 2 ended with a massive cliffhanger, again. Nonetheless, I am glad this book lived up to my expectations!
This book also starts right where it is left off. Whereas Reed has been dragged to the police station, Steve makes his appearance as the surprising visitor. Everything is pretty much a mess in Ella's life, as much as she believes in Reed's innocence, she can't shake the nagging feeling that he isn't telling her the whole truth, on top of that being around Steve is making the scenario a whole lot complicated. Will Ella be able to find the truth in time or will she lose Reed this time forever?
I enjoyed the thrilling ride that this book provided. The plot managed to hold my attention from the very first page until the end. We are thrown right into the chaotic situation after Reed is arrested and Steve makes an unexpected appearance. Gosh, that was right in the face! I surely wasn't expecting that. So many things happened, it was pretty hard to put this book down, I managed to finish it in two sittings.
I loved Reed and Ella! Things got pretty intense between them and I loved their romance! I really enjoyed their character growth. It felt so great to see Ella finally finding her family among the Royals. And as always, I can't forget Easton, he'll always have a special place in my heart!
The plot thickened with Steve's arrival. I didn't like him, at all. Even when the others told her he was trying his best to make up for the lost time, I didn't or most importantly, couldn't believe him. Things got more and more complicated when all the blames were thrown upon on Reed. And then there was the she-witch, Dinah. So many wanted to harm the Royals. Though I already predicted the plot twist in the middle, it felt really good to be proven right! But it was still hard to believe what "that person" was going to get out of trouble at any cost.
Overall, Twisted Palace wrapped up pretty nicely! I enjoyed this series so much. I'm very much excited to read the story of the other Royals, especially after some things commenced in this book. The writing was smooth and beautiful and the pace was even throughout this book. I can't wait to read mooore by Erin Watt!

After the ending of Broken Prince I was in complete shock and needed to know what happened ASAP. This book took us on even more twists and turns than the previous books and my head was spinning with everything we learned. My heart broke for everything that Reed and Ella had to go through. With the return of Steve I was happy at first that Ella would have her father in her life, but I quickly began to distrust him and his motives, he fell into the Dinah and Brooke category for me and he never really got out of it.
I hated how Ella finally found a place she could call home and was ripped from it. She had Callum, the twins, Easton and Reed, and Steve came and took it all away. He wanted to control her, and sure, that's what parents do, but I hated how he went about doing it. He didn't take the time to get to know her or who she was before he made decisions for her that could change her life forever. He didn't care that his godson was being convicted of murder, or that it was tearing his daughter apart, he was selfish and I despised his character for it. But enough about him. The way Ella handled everything going on with Reed? It made me love her character even more. She has grown so much in this series and is so strong that I admire this character so much. She goes to bat for those she loves and the way she stood by the Royals and Reed is something that was admirable and showed how much she truly cared for each and every one of them. Something I never would have thought would have happened when they first met with so much animosity between them all.
This book had even more secrets and lies and I loved each and every second of it. We got all the sexiness and angst we've grown accustomed to with Reed and Ella, the banter and fun with Easton and Ella, the high school drama, the dark and twisty secrets, and everything in between. This series seriously has me hooked and I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Reed and Ella. I can only hope we get to see more of the family one day because the twins, Gideon, Easton, etc all in my opinion have stories to tell. This series quickly has jumped to one of my favorite series of all time and I can not recommend it enough. If you're looking to be sucked into a world of secrets and lies and angst, I highly recommend The Royals by Erin Watt!
I can confidently say for me that the Royal Series by Erin Watt is by far my ALL TIME FAVOURITE SERIES. Consumed by book one from the very first page. And so we come to this the final, the conclusion of The Royals.
What will become of Reed??
Will Ella and Reed survive this? Will they come out of this together?
What other Twisted secrets are out there that we have yet to discover?
And for REALS!!! WHAT THE S*** is Steve doing alive?
All your questions get answered in this angsty, drama filled, conclusion. You won’t be disappointed one bit. I went through so many emotions throughout this book soaking up every single word of it as if my life depended on it. From the moment this book hit my kindle I have been COMPLETELY RUINED BY THE ROYALS.
The Erin Watt duo of Jen Frederick and Elle Kennedy are book goddesses in my opinion and have brought to life a cast of characters that will infiltrate your brain like a disease, but one so good you want to be inflicted for the rest of your life.
You will love them, you will obsess over them and you will downright hate some of them with a passion. They will make you cry, make you scream, make you swoon, make you ache. The best kind of book feels for a diehard bookworm like myself.
REED ROYAL – May very well be my #1 Book Boyfriend.
“I’m a Royal baby, I don’t run. I fight.”
And now I’m in a state of BOOKORNING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the expression of deep sadness for a book series that has come to a conclusion, typically follows a euphoric feeling you receive when you first get a book that you have been dying for. You have devoured the book too quickly and you can’t undo it. You now sit in a perpetual state of WHAT THE F DO I DO WITH MYSELF NOW.
Twisted Palace has been read. The last book in the Royal Series.
And I sit here and think to myself OH GAWD now what do I do?
When I finished it last night I turned to my husband and said.
“OH MY WOW WOW WOW, I finished the book it was sooo GOOD!!!!”
And then the reality of that statement hit me. “I FINISHED THE BOOK”
And here I sit.
I feel empty, like a lost little puppy. I’ve stared blankly at my Kindle now for hours, sometimes I am not sure if I have even blinked.
I don’t even know what day of the week it is, the time, is it morning, is it night.
I am going to need intense therapy. Right now I don’t know when or even if I will recover from this.
I pray to the book gods that we get to see more from Erin Watt and these Royals that I have completely and utterly fallen in love with. My life would feel empty without them.
