Pros: Bluetooth 5.0, Type C USB, Apt X, AAC, CVC8.0, awesome microphone quality.
Noise Cancellation:
Even without ANC, the passive noise cancellation is good. However the comfort level of earcups isn't like the ones with OneOdio DJ Headphones that have memory foam. However it's quite comfortable and can be used for hours without much fatigue.It's decent noise cancellation for the price, it would not kill high frequency sounds like kids and wives sounds lol, but quiets down low frequency noises quite well, like humming of AC units, engine noise, blowers etc without adversely affecting the sound quality. Did an autorickshaw test, you can enjoy music at 80% volume without much noise interference from loud autorickshaw engine.
Sound Quality: It's a quite balanced sound signature not overly powering in particular frequently bands, the sound is crystal clear. Boom Boom Bass fans should stay away from this. It's quite good for Jazz, Rock, Country Music, Classical Music, Podcasts etc with normal voice outputs unlike unnatural boom boom bass. Bass is there but in natural limits.
Also people who like blasting loud music into their ear canals and going deaf by age 40 should stay away, it's not loud enough for that.
Otherwise it's excellent product considering the budget. If you want something better than this then you need to buy Sony 1000XM3 or Bose equavalent which are 5 times this price.
Call Quality: Call quality is quite excellent, cvc 8.0 works quite well in normal work places and home but fails in autorickshaw, it struggles to seperate voice and noise and ends up reducing both, while you are able to clearly hear other party they are barely able to hear you. The call quality is literally good for crystal clear calls, how I know? I recorded the call conversation and played back.
Bluetooth connectivity: Connection speed is great, within a sec of turning on. But both devices should have bluetooth 5.0. Distance is about 50 feet without obstacles like walls but a room or two indoors and a single wall before the connection struggles. Connects to two devices simultaneously, eg laptop and phone, if you are using with laptop and phone comes it shifts to phone call and pauses what you were playing on laptop. Once call ends it moves back to laptop. To swap stop on one Play on other normally.
Charging speed is good. Keep charging intermittently and you will never be without charge. Fast charging supported means intial 10 minutes are fast(0 to 40%), at 1 hr it's 60%, 2 hrs 80%, 3 hrs 100%. But box says use 5 volts charger at 1 ampere. i.e. 5 watts so used that.
Wired playback is quite good, if you have FLAC files, but it's not Audiophile standard. Although the Audio Jack wire supplied is thin, but don't think it's usefull unless your battery dies and you have no charging station. (Bought 3.5mm cable with mic so it can be used without battery for phone calls as well) 10 minutes of charge give a lot of time of playback. Also controls don't work when it's wired and supplied wire doesn't have microphone. As soon as you plug it in using wire, it automatically shifts to wired play. ANC works while playing on wired mode, however be careful as this feature has a drawback, the ANC doesn't shut down when the headphone is powered down, it will drain battery if you don't shut ANC down manually every time.
Controls are quite tactile but multifunction power switch is quite tricky when you have to quickly triple press to go back to previous track.
Long press on it does trigger smart assistant.
There is one control function which is not on their manual as well. During call to mute the mic input you can press and hold the volume button for a sec and press and hold it again to unmute. There is a beep to confirm the mute and unmute operation.
Although it's foldable, but it's quite hefty even after that in the case, but being an over the ear headphone it's obvious.
One con in design, its earcups don't turn, so when you pull it down to neck, it's stuck between your face and chest.
Build Quality: while they look premium but you will need to take care of them like they are an infant. Don't handle rough, they are not made for that. Especially don't fall asleep wearing these in bed, next day you will find the band broken.
Overall I am satisfied after trying out various options. If you want something better next jump will be Sony xm3 or Bose Quiet comfort 35 or 700 which are 4 to 5 times costly. These deliver about 80% of Sony/Bose.
--------------Update on Service------------------
After extensive usage I managed to break the hinges. Beware while using it. It has metal hinges for folding which lock in place. However I used to open and fold a lot even in a day. This causes stress cracks in the plastic around the hinges. So don't fold them unless you are storing them in a case to carry around in bag.
I raised the ticket on the FB messanger as they don't have physical service center in India. They were supportive and refunded the payment and I ordered new set of headphones. Will take care of these now.
