Product Description

This book points out the essential reasons why peace in the world and cooperation among people, communities, and nations have been so difficult to establish. It also advises the only way real peace and harmony can be achieved.
In order for peace and unity to exist, we must first realize what barriers and divisions keep us apart. Only then can we break down those barriers to see the unity that naturally exists between us all. Then, rather than focusing on our differences, it is easier to recognize our similarities and common goals. With a common objective, all of humanity can work together to help each other reach that destiny.
This book is short and to the point. It is a thought provoking book and will provide inspiration for anyone. It can be especially useful for those working in politics, religion, interfaith, race relations, the media, the United Nations, teaching, or who have a position in leadership in any capacity. It is also for those of us who simply want to spread the insights needed for bringing greater levels of peace, unity, and equality between friends, neighbors, and communities.
Such insights include:
The factors that keep us apart.
Breaking down cultural distinctions and religious differences.
Seeing through bodily designations.
Our real identity: The basis for common ground.
Seeing the Divinity within each of us.
How we are all working to attain the same things.
What we can do now to bring unity and peace into the world and between everyone we meet.

It is time to create a prejudice-free world by seeing the natural common ground and unity that exists between us all.

4.0 out of 5 stars A directional sign on the road to world peace. 16 April 2000
By Sheral L. Bradley - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
As a fellow traveler on the road to enlightenment, I very much enjoyed this book. Through clear and concise writing and the use of some wonderful analogies the author gives an understandable and compassionate presentation of a very complex subject. How sad that world peace is so elusive when the solution is within our grasp. Chapter two on religious diversity and tolerance should be required reading. The author is obviously well studied in world religions. He references everthing from the Bible and Eastern religions to the Torah and the Book of Mormon. People of all religions who approach this book with an open mind and an open heart will find something of value here. A friend loaned me this book. After reading it I bought a copy as well as another of this author's titles. It is bad karma to use a highlighter in a borrowed book. While the author and I don't see eye to eye on everthing there are some great truths to be found in these pages. I would not only recommend buying this book, I'd get an extra copy to loan to your friends who don't understand the concept of highlighters and bad karma.

5.0 out of 5 stars "A Premier Primer" 6 June 2000
By Charlie Carson, R.N. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
"Toward World Peace Seeing the Unity Between Us All" gives a profound outline for conducting one's life at the highest and most integrated level! It offers guiding principles for anyone who seeks to bring peace, light and love, and higher wisdom to our planet... or to their place of work. Stephen's book shows us that world peace truly begins within the indivdual! As a registered nurse and medical missionary, I try to let these principles guide my work at home or in third world countries. This book embraces all of the major religions and should be published in every language and distributed throughout the world as a primer for children as well as adults. It is magnificent!
