I have a MacBook Pro 13" that just fits into my daily bag, but it was getting scuffed. I got a hard shell case, but it doubled the weight. So I got the 13" case with the smallest dimensions I could find, but it just swims in it. It also won't allow me to close my bag properly.
I only need the case to protect from scuffs and not to be a case on its own, so I started looking at 12" cases with reviews saying they were two big. I got this case because it's was supposedly only a 1/4" smaller than my laptop and the neoprene stretches.
When it arrived, it was tiny. (Outer dimensions of 11" x 8.125" x .25") I figured I'd have to return it. But it somehow stretched over my 13". (In the photo you can see it doesn't overlap like it would with a 12".)
I think it will actually work for what I need it to do. Just note that it is much smaller than the dimensions listed.
However, when I received the replacement, it was faded and it looked terrible, nothing compared to the first one I ordered. I don't really want to go through the hassle of returning it, shipping it back or going out of my way to print a return label, box it, etc, So buy at our own risk. Apparently its a hit or miss, more like 50-50 chance that you'll be satisfied or unsatisfied.
I was very disappointed.
Now, the color is JUST AS SHOWS. Hot pink. The sleeve hugs your Macbook like a glove. Now, it provides NO HARD PROTECTION. It is a SLEEVE, NOT A CASE. A case is something hard that when you tap it, you hear a "thud" sound. This is a floppy cover that you can bend. It's very well made and fits perfectly. Also, you can still use this if you have an actual case on your computer, it still fits. (I bought a CASE for my computer to protect it if it falls, and bought the SLEEVE for school. To keep out dust and debris.)
It's a cheap price but the case is very well made. Only con is that it smells a little funny! But that's no problem at all--spray it with some body mist and there, smells good and looks good.
Overall outstanding purchase, now I can carry ol Mac around without worrying at all.
P.S. I was wondering how the case stays closed while looking at the picture. There is NO zipper and NO magnets. The case only folds closed. It does stay that way too--it won't open back up. It's all fabric, no zippers or buttons.
If I did not have to take it with me and use it because of the travel, I would probably just have returned it.
I paid full price just in case someone is curious.
