About the author

Rina Kent is a USA Today, international, and #1 Amazon bestselling author of everything enemies to lovers romance.
She's known to write unapologetic anti-heroes and villains because she often fell in love with men no one roots for. Her books are sprinkled with a touch of darkness, a pinch of angst, and an unhealthy dose of intensity.
She spends her private days in London laughing like an evil mastermind about adding mayhem to her expanding universe. When she's not writing, Rina travels, hikes, and spoils cats in a pure Cat Lady fashion.

So, the first book left us in a huge cliffhanger but this one doesn't pick up from where the last one left off. This book was just unnecessary backstory about how Adrian & Lia met and the circumstances of their marriage.
“You may kiss the bride.” Adrian pulls me against his chest as he grabs me by my nape. “You’re
mine now, Mrs. Volkov.”
Adrian was the same possessive alpha male we saw in the the first book but he seemed to be a lot more controlling and cruel in this one. His overly possessive side and the need to always "punish" Lia was what ruined his character for me. But, on the other hand, I also felt bad for him as got to know his past. He just wanted his own little family. That redeemed him a bit for me.
"For some reason, it feels like I’ve sold my soul to the devil. Worse, I actually married him."
The main problem here for me was Lia. She was just so bipolar. I know she had mental health issues but she was just so demure and confusing. She knew that Adrian was not a good man and what she was getting herself into before marrying him yet she kept whining about how the life Adrian is living in will be dangerous for her and her son.
"You’ll bow to me, wife. Not in this life, husband."
Lia's main problem was her continuous changing decisions. Like, she pushes Adrian away and then whines about how he's not the same soft and caring husband to her anymore. I just couldn't understand her and quite frankly I would prefer Winter from the first book over this version of Lia. I was so fed up with her irrational decisions that I wanted to put the book aside.
Overall, I feel like this book was not even necessary. The story of Adrian and Lia meeting for the first time could have been explained in a chapter of two. This constant back and forth between Adrian & Lia annoyed me a lot. After reading the first one, I felt like some things would come to light in this one but this book was all about the past which I feel was exaggerated a lot to the point that it felt repeativive. Only the third book could tell if there was a point to this one.
but know this book is amazing, worth buying.
This book is so intense I feel like I'm going to combust any moment.
and Adrian is kinky and heroine is........well, flexible.
I really liked this book. I recommend it to those who love kinky, intense, thrilling, dark, mafia romance books
I am a lover of forced marriage trope, and this book by all means satisfies my love! While I totally loved the smutty scenes and stalker-ish vibes, I also cried for Lia.... especially at the end (oh my my)
But, literally and figuratively, this is one of those book where you will pull your hair, chew your nails!! I am in love with Adrian and Lia.

Regardless of that lets talk about this book and what we feel of think about it!!
Well the truth of the matter is it's nothing short of brilliant. This book answers all the questions brought up in Vow Of Deception and even answers those questions that you didn't realise you needed to ask!! It keeps a thorough pace throughout the book and draws you in until you feel invested within the relationships and the trials that are constantly being thrown in their way.
You become so drawn in that you can't help but ache and want to cry along with Lia, when the "accident" happens.
You really want to reach in at times and bang their heads together to just stop, then talk and listen to each other.
That's how brilliant Rina's writing is. She knows how to bring you into the book, until you can't help but want to reach out for them and the pain they're causing each other.
So to the daft question.....would I recommend.
Hell yes I'd recommend and you'd be a fool not to buy this book and the audio, as listening to it while reading the book, REALLY brings it to life!!
So what are you waiting for?? Stop reading the reviews and get the book 🙄🙄🙄🙄🤦🤦

Basically people, go and buy everything this awesome lady has written, you will not be disappointed. 😈❤️😈❤️

Don’t know how their gonna come back from this, I’m on the edge to see how it all comes together in the climatic ending of book 3.
