Firstly the cover of the book. I mean a damn interesting and thriller cover. But the depth of book is way more than that. When I heard the title it made me so curios to know more about it.
The story begins in 1800s. When there are British who try to rule the wonderful country india. It's start in Rajasthan. There are British making indian there slaves. This people is also going through the hard of ruling the india.
There is always a war between kingdom and British people as we heard in history. One fine day the kind died and here it comes the role of our protagonist RUDRA. Who find out father death is not accident, its muder. Then story start,
The characters are real well developed. Like every character has its own power. Thought I like little bit of rudra and gazi the person who showed courage , faith.
This is completely fusion of history , mythology , fantasy, suspense there are so many twist and different plot in the book. That's the reason this book keeps up hooked till the end.
The end part is so well written. That ending is unpredictable. But, when you complete the book you will make sense all the things from starting. That's the author wins. If you love history then you should definitely pick up this.
The book begins in the castle of Ravana where a Vanar Valikesh, of Hanuman's vanar - sena finds a beautiful but dangerous stone in Ravana's palace. It is the key to Tarikshir's awakening. After that Tarikshir asks Valikesh if he will allow him to take control of his body and Valikesh despite being a selfish coward refuses. Tarikshir kills him and lies in wait of someone else who will free him to wreak havoc on this earth. The story then jumps to the year 1826 where the Kingdom of Devangarh is under threat from British India Army and its proud king Raja Ravindra decides to fight for their Rajputana honor instead of bowing down before English Queen. His son Prince Rudra is still trying to find his true self as he feels like he has to make his father proud by being a warrior but he wants to make his mother happy too who wants peace.
Will Raja Ravindra fight against Britishers? Which side would Rudra choose? Will Tarikshir finally rise to wreak havoc?
I loved the narration of the book. It is detailed and good. The blurb of the book was lengthy and it describes the outline of the novel so it is a good point as it will help readers to choose the book. The cover of the book is really beautiful. It makes you believe there is something good and dark behind these pages. I loved the book.
The story is set up in Rajasthan and primarily revolves around a mystery. It is the mystery of the death of king and murder of various other people. Rudra gets curious about all this and slowly starts looking into the details to decode the mystery behind all this. However, to find out whether this mystery is solved and who is behind all this, you will have to read this interesting story. It is a blend of thrill, history and fiction which makes it a different combination.
I have already praised the cover of this book at the beginning of my review. The plot is a good one. Though the story will seem to be set up in a typical princely background, it is not a regular boring plot that revolved around just one theme. The narration is another charm of this book. The author has managed to ensure that the readers are glued till the end of the book. It is a page-turner which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The title developed my curiosity instantly and I found it apt for the book.
If you are a fan of historical thriller, pick up this book as your next read. I read it while travelling and enjoyed the book.
