It was beyond expectations of mine... Initially I thought that it would be like reading IOC ,DOC, TOC... But it gives you the basic path to your undergraduate knowledge to approach to a disease or your final Dx(after ddx) and it's treatment in a clinical way rather than in textbook manner... i.e how would we all do in hospitals and in ER... Covering the most common conditions in concise.
Ignore the levels...whom to read or not ... You just need to be doctor that's it😉

The book aims at providing the most essential details of around 300 common conditions of each speciality. It's clear, crisp and to the point without much of beating around the bush.
As far as comparisons with Washington Manual is concerned, STG is a new book, just into its 5th edition whereas WM has been there for a very long time, thus rendering comparisons baseless.
It's a very handy book which can be trusted. Good references although some updates are required. Actually A LOT of updates required.
All in all, a good buy.
Amazon could have done a better job at packing the item for delivery.
Please add updates.

Surprisingly good. The topics were elaborately covered and management part is reasonably up to date. Only downside for me is that the brand names at least one or two should have been provided. Overall good value for money.

Unlike some other reviewed who said that this book is inadequate for PG level, I would like to affirm that this book is perfect for patient management at primary level in one's own clinic, and even for managing emergencies at primary level. This book is a perfect reference for those who are in private practice.
Although there are some errors at some places, they are minor, and can easily be made out by those who have previously been exposed to those disease conditions.
