Product description
Days gone is an open-world action game set in the high-desert of the pacific northwest two years after a mysterious global pandemic has decimated the world, killing most but transforming millions into mindless, feral creatures. Survivors live in a world where resources are scarce, violence and murder are common and freakers roam the wilderness. Players face this violent, new world as deacon St. John, a bounty hunter, a drifter who lives in the lawless wilderness outside the civilian encampments. Deacon survives by using skills learned before the world ended, riding for the mongrels mc, an outlawed motorcycle club, where violence and mayhem were part of the riding the open road. At the center of it all, days gone is an exploration of how any of us would react to these harsh conditions and exploration of loss, love, friendship, revenge and desperation – learning that surviving isn’t living. For deacon especially, it’s a struggle to ensure that hope never dies.
From the manufacturer
Days Gone - Story
Hope Never Dies
At its core, Days Gone is about survivors and what makes them human: desperation, loss, madness, betrayal, friendship, brotherhood, regret, love—and hope. It's about how, even when confronted with such enormous tragedy, hope never dies.
Unique Enemies
In addition to hostile drifters, marauders, and militia, Deacon must face a wilderness overrun by dangerous and evolving Freakers. As with any living creature, Freakers eat, drink, hibernate and build nests, behaviors that Deacon must learn and adapt to.

Best zombie game
Realistic storyline
I have completed full game 3-4 times yet i start it again
Very nice game
Pros:
1. Excellent gameplay loop. I don't know what it is but I enjoy doing even simple tastks in the game which I do not in other games like Assassin's creed.
2. Hordes. Man hordes are heart of this game. This gives some truely genuine scares out in open world. I have never been so afraid to venture out in dark in this game compared to other games. Man the freakers are ferocious.
3. The narrative story to die for. I won't delve much into the story as it may be spoiler for others...but damn this is Witcher, red dead 2 level of story telling.
4. Stealth and combat. Stealth is thoughtful and not dumb like Assassin's creed. Gunplay is weighty and flawless.
Cons:
1. Not enough customisation. I would like more customisation of Deacon's clothes, his bike and most importantly his guns. Guns are pretty much bare bones. If you don't like the gun just purchase another one coz you can't upgrade anyone of them except extended magazine. That not to say combat is bad. Combat is really good and gunplay mechanics are flawless.
2. Some really nasty bugs. I encountered two bugs in my full playtime that crashed my game totally. There were other minor bugs that caused items to disappear or NPC to be non responsive.
3. Frame rate issues on base ps4 slim consoles specially inside the camps. But not enough to stop enjoying the game. Frame rates out in the open world and during combat remains solid 30fps.
P.S: After the update almost the bugs have been ironed out.
Verdict: Think no further, Just buy this god damn game and enjoy.
About the product: Ok , first off all it’s a great game, fairly long story and the voice actors performance Were amazing.
(And now the cons of this game) it’s buggy and lots of frame rate dips and I mean a lot in my Standard Ps4 but after the update it’s slightly have been reduced but not all , maybe in future updates? Hopefully but except this the gameplay Is Amazing and the fighting with the hordes is breathtaking and it’s not that of a difficult game but at the very first when you’ll start playing this game it will feel very difficult but as you progress through the story and unlock skills and guns, eventually it gets a lot easier.
Tips: do the side missions whenever it’s available, don’t miss it and clear the infestation zone , clear hordes and nero checkpoints for extra xp’s camp credits and upgrades, most of all upgrade your stamina because it’s most important for fighting hordes (trust me) oh ! And also focus....and upgrade your bike and if you’re getting a little confused then watch a YouTube video, And that’s it guys.

Lots of side missions. Completing some also linked to trophies, if you are into those things.
New game+ and a few other arcade game modes.

Apart from some predictable kind of corny scenes it was a great play, doing the bike up, action packed fun game with a bit of a storyline. good for quick play when your someone who doesnt have time to spend hours on something like football manager for example.
Delivery was fast too
I was a massive fan of the under-rated Mad Max game and I see this as its kind of spiritual successor. It certainly shares a lot with that game - lots of rampaging across the wasteland, (the beautiful imagined Oregon), camps to clear, excellent gunplay and some brutal melee. The main difference being in this one that you’re on a very cool and upgradeable motorcycle. It starts off as a weedy chugalong but finishes as a knobbly tired behemoth that you could cross continents on in a straight line only stopping for fuel and coffee. It really gains in size and stature (and jazzy livery) and off-roading capabilities though a rampaging bear or wolf could still knock you off if you’re not paying attention. Time to fix it up and once again enjoy the marvelous scenery and fabulous changing weather of the North West US.
Other game influences/similarities are clearly The Last of Us and third party shooters like the Uncharted games though this lacks the latter’s puzzles and humour. A new IP being mentioned in the same breath as Naughty Dog’s finest offerings is high praise but it does hold it’s own against them IMO and that’s even before you get to the game's USP, the hordes. Oh man, these are scary but when you're ready to take them on make for an excellent and adrenaline filled challenge though you'll need to be tooled up with the right weapons and “throwables” (grenades and Molotovs etc) to beat them. The only downside is the rather cumbersome item selection wheel which is an acquired taste but not a game-breaker once you are used to it.
The story telling is very good with well-formed characters though your lead Deacon himself, can be a bit of a dcik and has a strange moral compass - getting all antsy about murderers and rapists before proceeding to slaughter them all himself. He also sounds a bit “Mayor West” when coming across infestations etc but it does have a well formed plot and I particularly liked the eerie twist at the end of the Nero story line so look out for that. Although quite repetitive at the start once you settle into your drifter lifestyle it does get quite addictive but it's no GTA as far as extra-curricular activities are concerned.
I would though call it a “fair” game with all the hordes being optional so don't not buy this game because of them, you can actually skip those required to complete the story. The platinum trophy is definitely attainable (on easy if you like) if you are prepared to put the hours in. The one trophy that gave me the most trouble was a five second nitrous powered drift! If you really don’t want to do battle with the hordes, and the ones in the Southern part are definitely more of a challenge, you can reset the camps and/or infestation zones on completion of the story to farm XP and get the last skill points for your final trophy.
This is the first game in a long while that I’ve really looked forward to picking up when getting home and would highly recommend it for relieving those lockdown blues.
Technical: A Marvel. This game puts you in a gorgeous and detailed open-world, with multiple moving objects such as hordes, which may number in the hundreds, with no framerate drops or lags. I find this as a programmer simply incredible.
Visually: As I stated above, the graphics with HDR10 and checkered 4K (PlayStation4 Pro does not offer native 4K) is stunning. The player and infected details and movements are detailed and real, the roads and fauna and trees are realistic.
The Story: I don't understand people's gripe with the story. In my opinion it was really decent, bring an emotional roller-coaster the protagonist and his wife.
Gameplay: Weapons, cover system, menu, etc. were perfect for me. There is one caveat: whenever you go into the menu (map, quests, etc.) the game seems to use alot of CPU resources so you will notice your PS4 go to overdrive to support this mechanism and you will hear your cooling fans really loud. But if you regularly maintain and clean your system, this should not be an issue :)
Overall, this was an awesome experience in my opinion.
Recommendation: Please make sure you get the latest patch for the game. I played on version 1.8.x and experienced only one issue and it was minor.
