Jude is a first time author waiting for his work to get published. Danica, a publisher’s daughter, who has never read a book, decides to give a read to Jude’s manuscript. The manuscript comes to life when 5 roommates – Jasper, a Maharashtrian Christian! Randeep, a Punjabi Sikh! Nobey, a Meghalaya based Hindu! Zuber, a Kashmiri Muslim! And, Arun, a Tamil Hindu ….. embark on a journey to know the purpose of being together. As the only first week of engineering life seems heavy, and knowing that flood of engineers graduate every year, the 5 guys decide to spend a weekend in the city, get high off the booze at the Marine Drive and strongly hope to get inspired from something so as to stand out from the Engineering Yard. After the personal ups and downs in their own life, the 5 roommates try to hold on together. What happens when 5 different brains from 5 different states are put in a jar of life and messed with. Would they unite or divide? Life can be more complex than you can ever think and time is the only element that can settle the mud in the muddy water. Time is ticking. The journey has begun. Bring the Eggs to life, immerse yourself in this experience and witness, as *some text missing* an inspiring tale, which explores the journey of 5 boys, who learn that everything happens for a reason and how not to regret when the unexpected happens because there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.

The main part of the story is based on the college days of Jasper, Randeep, Money, Zuber and Arun.
They came from different parts of the country with different background which say a lot about their looks and lifestyle.
The story started out well with a bit of suspense building up in the first few pages of having a promising book manuscript being rejected.
The author tries his best to convince the publisher that the story is unique and has lots of potential.
The book is based entirely on this so called manuscript.
Well, it turned out to be not as promising as it should be.
I was not able to connect with any of the characters.
The characters have been described well but the depth is missing in each.
There is not much to talk about the story.
Just that the youngsters from different background make a great friend circle, look out for each other in the campus, encourage each other in times of need and becoming successful in the end on their own terms.
Maybe this book was not just for me.
I would recommend this book to the youngsters.
It has been written in a clean way, without the usual cheap tactics of selling a story (read as not being sexist and tossing comments on girls about being girls)👍
This is the first book of the author, which is self published by him. At first, let me begin with the cover of the book. The cover is mesmerizing. It grabs your attention at the fastest and make you read this book. As this is the story of five totally different characters, so we can see in the cover, five eggs with totally different expressions, that goes appropriate with the plot concept.
The story starts with an aspiring writer Jude, who has provided the draft of his book, which he wants to get published, in Excel publishing house multiple times, but got rejected. So, he wanted to give himself a final chance, by convincing the owner to give his manuscript a read. And , later it turned out to be read by the owner’s daughter.
The story is the manuscript of Jude, which starts with five different characters, who were newly admitted students in an Engineering college, as below :
Zuber : He is a Kashmiri soul, who has a very devastated past, from losing his mother, to losing his first love. So, he came to conquer his dreams, as all the dreams shattered for him in the past.
Jasper : Jasper, a wanna be writer and an artistic mind, who just came to do engineeeing by mistake, and his previous relationship and engineeeing both becomss the most spooky memory for him.
Nobey : Nobey is a very calm person from the outskirts of Meghalaya, a bibliophile in nature. His character is not equally developed like others in the story, except in some debates that has been mentioned regarding technology and books.
Randeep : He is a Punjabi guy, and people often makes fun of him for his fluffy figure. This character is also not developed much like other characters.
Arun : Arun is the most powerful character in the story. This character is very well developed. If somebody tells me, to find a protagonist in this story, it has to be Arun. Being from a family, with a drunkard father and a hard working mother, he has seen a lot of trouble in life. Engineeeing was something through which he wanted to prove himself in. From being a smoking and drinking addict and in all imperfect relationships, and then turning to be a person with perfect values and ethics, this character has been well developed in the story.
On a note , this is a story of this five people’s journey in their engineeeing life, which has many ups and downs, and how they have become successful in their respective lives. The writing style is lucid, with simple words. Somewhere the story missed to have the twists and turns, but overall can be a good read for the beginners, basically students appearing in college and new to reading can enjoy this, as it depicts the whole ‘masala’ of the college life.
A quick and fun read. The story revolves around the lives of 5 friends who are unique in their own ways. The author has tried to make it inspirational by penning down how despite all the difficulties in life, the characters are left not shattered – just like the eggs which don’t crack despite the impact. The cover is creative and resonates with the storyline.
The narrative is well paced, the plot isn’t very impactful though. The best part is that the story is very relatable to everyone who has ever lived a hostel life and I am sure it is a good target to that generation especially boys. The book did get me reminiscent of my college days and overall it was a decent read for me. It is a good amalgamation of various emotions but the book lacked a little finesse in terms of the characters and the storyline. Overall it is a fun read and relatable so should do well with the college masses.
The plot of the story is very well written and will manage to keep u hooked till the end. The cover of the book is very creative where the creator has compared the 5 boys to 5 eggs that didn't shatter . All the characters seem to be very existent and relatable . The story will not only inspire u but will also help u t o find your passion. The writting style of the author is very simple and highly commendable. Love the story.❤❤
Highly recommended for all the book lovers especially the college students as they can relate to the story to a much greater extent. ☺☺
