But to my utter surprise the company denied to send out a replacement claiming that the issue i have highlighted is a normal wear and tear and is not covered under their so called lifetime warranty.
Now tell me guys after spending around 3k for a cover would you carry your 50k Ipad with a half torn cover and make a fool out of yourself. It looks like a cheap half torn local brand after few months of normal use. The outer layer has peeled off precisely from the point where the cover folds. It shows the bad manufacturing, R&D and material used on the product.
I would strongly suggest not to buy this company's product especially this cover. If you wish to spend so much money to protect your ipad like i wanted to and throw it away after a few months then its your wish. Trust me you will throw away the cover because it looks so cheap and makes your Ipad look so ugly in it in just a few months.
I fell for the good reviews and their so called Lifetime Warranty as the time when i purchased this product the outer layer peeling issue was not highlighted by other reviewers and they were only talking good things about the product.
I have already written to the company to that i will take this matter to consumer court and i will make every innocent buyer like me to make the right choice and teach these people a lesson.
I am updating my review further after receiving another reply from Snugg. Turns out they will not be able to reeplace or do anything because the product was not registered for warranty and because they cannot find the order details. I have sent them Amazon snapshot of the order number, date etc but I guess they keep finding some excuse or the other. So, buy it only if you have money to waste and spare time to keep pursuing them when the problem starts. I also saw in the reeviews that there are several other customrs with the same problem as mine - ripped coverrs and non response from Snugg.
But the biggest flaw is that the case obstructs a really really tiny portion of the screen and that's a very big con if the iPad is being used in landscape mode as swipping up from the bottom of the screen to access shortcuts won't work. The same issues also affects some other applications namely netflix, YouTube etc which have onscreen menu/buttons near the edge of the screen.
So, ultimately this is a good case from protection viewpoint but one has to sacrifice.
