A very good product from MI, I appreciate their effort in making this, it stands out as a good accessory on table & as a decorative item also. I am using it for nearly 20 days, overall I love this product but it's application is not user friendly. If you are android user you have to bear that application but wheres an IPhone user has a benefit of Apple Home application, yes this device connects to Apple Home app, It is way better than native MI application & user friendly. Iphone users can take advantage of creating some cool interesting automations in Shortcut App, offcourse you can create them in native MI app also but a bit confusing.

>It's upper body is made up of plastic, you don't feel that premium while holding it in hand but most of the time it rests constantly at a place so this is not a major point to be noted. Being plastic body it may attract minimal scratches, so be kind while cleaning it.

Needed a firware upgrade via Mi Home app to get properly connected to WiFi. Otherwise, the wifi connection fails.
Also, the current Mi.Home app on Play Store kept crashing so I had to side load an earlier version using an apk file. Login and click on add device.
Once the app is installed, use mobile hotspot and keep the phone next to the lamp. Reset the lamp. Follow the steps in the app. It should be able to connect your wifi.
It's working flawlessly with Mi Home/ Alexa. Doesn't work with SmartThings.
Leaving comment here for future troubleshooters.
