Now when you buy a headphone the thing you give most priority is the sound quality of the headphone, and in this case the Skullcandy Uproar does not disappoint with some good quality sound output.
✔ The headphone is equipped with a 40 mm driver on which is produces descent bass but the highs and vocals are really well separated and are very clear. The bass is descent in the sense that it is not dynamic and does not give that boom effect that most of the folks like. Although the name suggests Uprock, it is certainly for rock music where the tracks are more guitar dominated. Coming to the other genres well the jazz as well as instrumentals sounds good in this headphone, and the other genres sounds descent.
✔ The headphone has a good frequency range and is very sensitive to each decibels of noise, which makes it separate each notes with ease. As a result, the sound is crisp and clear. It is in safe range in when talking about sensitivity, because in some headphone it is found that the sensitivity exceeds the max limit that human ears can take and thus at full volumes those may cause permanent ear damage, but this headphone is safe.
✔ The headphone is supported with all the devices that I have used it with so far. So it is universal to every device which really good, and the sound quality is equally good for every other device unless you use a devices having poor sound card.
✔ The design certainly one of the best in this price range. It’s all Skullcandy logo throughout the headphone, which can be used to show off. The headphone is made of glossy plastic but certainly it does not look like those cheap ones, and each earpiece have silver SkullCandy Logo on the band joining with it. The earpieces are not big in size, in other words it is an On the Ear headphone.
✔ The headband has ladder mechanism i.e. you can adjust it to your preferred side. The middle section of the band has a matt finish and seems to be made of reinforced fiber which really makes it durable. The headband can fit any sized head.
✔ The headphone is available in 20 colour combinations so you can choose from a large variety. I personally loved the black version though, but that is one's personal preference.
✔ The cable is tangle free and is of good quality, the aux jack is a 3.5 mm pin and is gold plated for superior signal transfer.
✘ Although the headphones comes with double layer pillow which is really very soft, yet the angle at which the headphone is made makes it uncomfortable for long sessions of listening, you can listen hardly up to 30-40 minutes at a stretch.
✘ The earpieces are fixed and you cannot rotate them according to your needs, for adjustments at different head positions. This feature would have been great to have in this headphone. It has a closed back design.
✘ The bass is not that great as you would expect from this, at same price range there are other good competitors like the Philips and HP.

Let's wrap it now. Well for the price it is offered I would not say it a must buy, but it certainly performs well in the Highs and Vocals department, but lack that dynamic bass, although you get a descent bass. If you are a Skullcandy fan then this headphone may not stand up to your expectations. At the end of the day if you prefer the looks of your headphone and is more a vocals lover then you should buy this headphone. Finally it’s a Skullcandy and that says a lots of things, but still I did not find it up to the standards which are generally found in a Skullcandy. Go for it if you get it at 1100 bucks or less. I hope my review was helpful, if not feel free to comment on my review, I will definitely help you.
The output is so low on clarity and quality that you suspect if your ears have some problem. Tested it on various devices, s4 iphone 5 and ipad as well....all places its the same sad story.
The product is sooo low on its thoroughput that you feel frustrated listening to d most beautiful of melodies.
The design is simple and overpriced for the quality it provides. Used it for 30 mins and all of ur ear parts start aching due to physical constriction.
On the plus side ...looks good and has a matt finish that is elegant.
But then u should never go by th3 cover of a book, right?
