A great lens, better image, better clarity, Best zoom.. But within 6 Months auto focus gears broken... I approached authorised service centre, but they refused to give warranty. their argument was they cant give warranty for items purchased online, they charged me around 3500/-. but on the 3rd day the same problem occurred. now, the shell of this lens was retired after its successful service as my kids pen holder.... and the lens are 'RIP' in their headmasters table drawer .. there are only two persons carrying the memory of this lens, my kid's friend who carry burn mark on her arm and my kid who carry the cane mark on her leg...

I rarely leave Amazon reviews but felt I really had to on this occasion. I've just gone away to India and wanted a really good zoom lens for my 650D. I have to say this lens does not disappoint. For the price the quality is remarkable and very easy to use. It does auto focus and there is a method to switching from Macro to normal that you have to know and it switches perfectly every time. I'm really, really pleased with this lens and again for the price you cannot go wrong at all. I'm by no means a professional photographer but this lens is very easy to use. I would 100% recommend it to the everyday photographer. I'm going on a safari so can't wait to use it more then! Will be buying more Sigma lenses for sure.

Have waited to give this a review as I really wanted to try it out fully. Autofocus is good most of the time, on the odd occasion, it seems to not be able to pick up on what I am trying to focus on. Manual focus is great. The macro ability in 200-300mm is really nice but the switch seems to be a bit sticky when trying to turn macro off. Found if I switch to manual focus and adjust the focus then the macro switch flips easier and it's this macro switch issue and the odd autofocus issue I have dropped it to a four-star item otherwise a fantastic lens.

I'm disappointed by two facts.
The lens comes without case in a dusty paper box.
I had to clean the dust.
The autofocus on my canon goes crazy I think it is because of the dust. Manual mode works much better.
No invoice of payment but a printed ticket with "Non fiscale" so not proof of payment.

Broken after 1 year.

Pleased with this lens, I like having the Macro function, although I have a Canon 60mm Macro lens, I have found this pretty good for the money in that If I am out and see something I want the macro shot of it's a simple flick of a switch, rather than changing the lens, which is an alternative if I don't want to take both camera's out (one with a macro or wide angle )
It doesn't have a image stabiliser function,
