About the author

KPOPALYPSE is a musician and music industry veteran from Adelaide, Australia, and he has been writing about Korean pop music, music industry and fan culture since 2012 at kpopalypse.com. He was the first writer to publish completely unedited and raw tell-all interviews in English with people who had been through the gruelling and highly secretive Korean idol training system. He continues to advocate for artist rights and a progressive, pro-sexuality, pro-critical thinking view of Korean popular culture.

All I can say is that I am pleasantly surprised.
The story of Hana is gripping. Dark, often sad, sometimes funny. I ended up getting attached to Hana and the rest of her teammates.
While (maybe?) exaggerated, it's an insightful look in the depths of the Korean trainee system.
Some readers will be taken aback by the tone of the book (a lot of profanity) and the grim depiction of the k-pop industry, but it's closer to reality than most people imagine.
I started my reading suspicious, then my suspicion turned into curiosity, and at then end I was eager to know more and I'm impatiently waiting for the sequel.
