3.0 out of 5 stars Family saga!
By Anjali Sharma (@reading_for_sanity ) on 18 November 2021
A sense of gratitude is a family saga with a multitude of characters spanning over generations of a family. This book has five parts, the first part starts with the main character of Anand Mukherjee (Abhishek's maternal grandfather) and his story and the book ends with Abhishek Banerjee feeling a sense of gratitude.

This book is like a window through which one can see the life of people in past, that of a zamindar having two wives as well as cherish the narration of Indian culture or reminisce the past and feel indebted to our freedom fighters whenever we read about the history which is subtly interlaced in the story.

This book is basically a story of a simple family with its many generations and the ups and downs. The book is slow paced and it is relaxing to read. The language used is simple and accessible and writing style is lucid and perspicuous. This book is a simple read and it is a good one - time read. The family trees and glossary given at the beginning really helps. Overall, this book was an okay read for me, it wasn't amazing but it was good.
