So here we go :
👉Look And Feel
Premium- thats what you will feel when you hold in your hand for the first time. The material is of excellent quality and offers great durability. The earphones are slightly curved which fits in your ears very comfortably. The three button remote is of high grade rubber and feels smooth while touching.
The CX6 from Sanheiser comes with bluetooth 4.2 and connecting your phone is a butter smooth operation. I have tested it with a distance of about 15 meters and never faced any issue.
👉Battery and Charge
The product claimed of a 6 hours long battery backup but you will get around 5 to 5 and a half hours. But the best part is it supports Quick charge and even a 5 minutes of charge can give you over 1 hour of support.
This is where the real test starts when we talk about a headphone and specially when it is at this cost. I have used BT headphones of other companies and can assure you that at this price point, its not the beat sound output but there are no competitors too. The sound is crisp and clear. The treble is just awesome, you can hear every lows and highs of it but the bass is not the best. The bass should have been a little more because thats what I like but again thats depends on person to person. But I can assure you that you will be pleased to hear the music in this headphone and even for long continuous hours.
For those giving negative reviews, its adviced that you download the song at the best bitrate and then try this headphone.
Have been using it since 10 days now and during all these days, I have tried to use it as rough as I could in all kind of noisy and louder situations but the product has never disappointed me. The sound cancellation works simply superb and the other party could hear me clearly even when I was in the noisiest condition. Never faced any issue over call quality till date. But many months to go and hoping that the brand will keep its good name as it usually does. Kudos✌️
SANHEISER has been understanding music and sound since 70 years and one thing can be assured that you wont be disappointed with their product. If you are a Sanheiser user, there is nothing to be said about the quality but about this product, you can definitely give it a try and you wont be disappointed and for those who are planning to buy Sanheiser for the first time, reading reviews wont help you, you need to make a BUY and experience it yourself. Since I have been using this product, I can assure you that using BT headphones for longer hours will not be a pain for your ears anymore. I hope that this review has made you make an informed PURCHASE decision because overall you would be spending your hard earned money. Thanks for reading and Happy Shopping !!
During call you can clearly hear peer user voice but peer user don’t hear you clearly maximum time. Other end user hear echo of what you say, voice of people around is also captured by microphone even though they are 10-15 feets away
This headset is one of few that comes with Aptx-Low Latency. This means when coupled with a low latency transmitter that BT latency drops under 50ms. Very close to wired. Now keep in mind that no phone or laptop comes with aptx-LL. Even high end headsets do not have it and why that is the case is a mystery. They may have regular aptx for better sound but not aptx low latency. So latency when using these will be slightly noticeable. But with a aptx LL transmitter, watching tv or playing video games on a PC say with a stand alone transmitter will have minimal delay. No, even the Sony & Bose noise cancelling headphones don't have aptx-LL. I try to ensure all my BT headsets have aptx-LL.
The connection is very good, i've never had a drop out with the phone in my pocket. Walking or riding. The radios used here are BT certified and not only that they have pretty good range as well. For a class 2 receiver the range is impressive. Connecting to my phone is very quick. Maybe a second. Another good feature is this headset can connect to two different devices at the same time. So if you want to also connect to your laptop go ahead. When a call comes in on the phone you hear it, and once you complete it switches back to the laptop. This is all seamless. I find its very good to have a dual pairing feature like this. That is why the CX6 isn't cheap. Sony wants nearly 30k for their headphone which does not even have a basic dual pair feature.
Somebody said they could not forward or rewind audio tracks. This is not true. I use this headset a lot with podcasts and a dbl click of either the + or - instructs my podcast app to either ff 10 seconds or rewind 10 seconds. A long press of either will skip to the next track. As for sound quality i find the bass adequate, its not for bass heads but you cannot say it isn't there and its well balanced. Anything club so trance and house sounds good. It isn't tiring to listen to either meaning the bass is enough.
This headset comes with noise cancelling tech by Qualcom. This is different to what people usually understand by the term noise cancelling. It does not quieten out exterior sounds so you can hear better. Rather the noise cancelling is used with the mic. It means if there is exterior noise the person you are speaking to will hear less of that noise. You will have to speak up of course but it tries to filter our the other noise. I find this 50-50, nice to have and better than sets that don't have it. Qualcom does not shout too loud about this tech but its there.
One of the advantages of having a mic that is closer to the mouth is its easier for the other party to hear you. To be more audible I find i have to wear the headset with the loop below my chin instead of behind my neck as that way the mic is further away from the mouth.
After a few weeks i decided to try Comply foam tips with this headset. They are expensive but the advantage is with the large size i find they block out exterior sounds quite well. Walking along a busy street and listening to a podcast is feasible. So this is my solution for noise cancelling, to use a passive isolation method. Another good thing about comply tips is the earbuds are very comfortable to wear for extended periods and retain a good seal. That is for the 3-5 months of their life before you have to use another pair. I find the stock earbuds do not isolate as well and can even come out of the ear easier. They are ok when you have a seal but can come lose when turning your head around. This does not happen with the comply tips.
As for how you look wearing these. I suppose you could tighten the band to make the battery and mouthpiece appear less prominent but then when you turn your head the earbuds can come loose. So i leave them as is with the loop behind my neck. This way it looks like you are wearing ear rings, almost jhumkas. There are these two black things hanging under your ears. It does not bother me, so long as i can hear what i want and people on the other end of the line can hear me.
I liked the cx6 so much that i bought the cx sport as well for a backup.
Top international reviews
Danke Sennheiser. Danke!
Just as a remember... The fit of Sennheisers is fantastic. A really comfortable and reasonably firm fit... Can listen for hours without them feeling uncomfortable. Haven't gone running with them yet but they feel as if they'd stay put.
With regards to the sound quality... As expected from Sennheisers they are good value for money and produce a crisp sound. They charge quickly and last a decent length of time. Can't give real world length because haven't really listened for long enough to exhaust one charge.
My criticism is that the charging cable is about 2cm long. If you have another longer micro USB I'd suggest using that!
Had these for about a year now.
- Great sound
- super comfortable in the ear with good fit
- needs frequent charge. Would like battery to last much longer (a price you pay for being compact I guess)
- cable catches on my neck when I turn my head side to side meaning it catches and pulls an ear bud out.

But what lets them down is the lacklustre bass, noticeably weaker than the CX 3.00. Other than the bass, the sound quality is very good.
On the positive side: good battery life and relatively quick to recharge. Relatively comfortable but not great.
The sound is where these otherwise lovely wee earphones fall down.
Strong kids and treble: rubbish bass. Gutted about that, as I have a couple of wires Sennheiser h/phones (one on-ear and one in-ear) and they are superb, but not Bluetooth, so not what I needed.
I wanted these small heads so they didn’t stop me turning my head on my pillow like the bulkier Zolo Liberty+ (which is awesome but when I roll my head, the pillow pushes the button on them).
These Sennies are great quality, but with the tech that’s available, these fall short of being a great product and For the money, could do better.
I have several issues, wish I'd chosen something else, and think these are a very poor product for the price.
1. When walking I can hear my steps resonated somehow in the headphones which is both intrusive, and means a higher volume is required. I had this with wired Sennheiser in ear headphones.
2. The frequency balance is well off. I've had to set an EQ curve that isn't far off a '\' shape.
3. As well as the treble being so high, it is also shrill, hollow, and uncomfortable to listen to
4. The sound of these in general is overly processed sounding - like a poor D/A converter on a cheap stereo system. In fact there is sibilance on not just vocals but all mid and higher frequencies, which is especially challenging for snares, cymbals and most other fast attack sounds.
I'm having such an issue with the above that I might have to write these off and just take the loss.
My main problems are with the battery life. I've been caught out a few times already on such short commutes.
Also have a strange problem with the left ear bud. It just won't fit my ear. Maybe I just got dud sizes with my one. The right side fits perfectly just like my old wired pair.
The Bluetooth module being as heavy as it is doesn't help the situation either.
Nice pair overall but too much to annoy me especially at this price.
Comfort is amazing, could wear these all day all week and not get any discomfort... However for the gym there are better options but the adjustable slider on the wire can be used to stop the battery from jumping around too much and at the gym I found these to not be a big problem.
Battery life for me seems just fine so far but haven't been able to push that enough yet to fully review battery life.
Bearing in mind I am a music tech student id say these are overall a great buy for the average consumer but for people like me who are more picky id say there are better options for sound quality solely due to that high end being too strong.
Der Härtetest beim Sport kommt erst. Bin aber zuversichtlich.
6 hour battery life can quickly vanish but I'm an organised person and always charge ahead of time.
The left side, which I assume contains the battery, feels heavier and slowly pulls down on the earphone. It helps to to put it above your earlobe. I don't think I would buy the same model again or maybe the sport version with the hook solves this problem.
All in all it's great to be free from cables on the way to work.
Saludos a tod@s
