During this time Rohan joins her bank. Avantika happened to meet him earlier as her car has been intercepted by a 2 wheeler in which Rohan was riding the pillion. Both of them had a spark at the very first sight but had to carry on as it happened on a public place but when Rohan came to join her organisation, Avantika was stunned and happy.
Author had captured the expressions very nicely in the whole story as initially to be honest, I was feeling a bit bored but as and when the story progressed, I could not stop finish reading it in one stretch.
Avantika made sure that Rohan reported to her. She had a soft corner for him. Here Avantika's personal assistant Wendy played a vital role because it was her who gave hint to Rohan as to where Avantika was living, on the later half of the story.
Avantika and Rohan had to go for many meetings together due to business requirement and during one of the travel, they both crosses their limits but on the very next day when Avantika was still asleep, Rohan had to abandon her as his marriage got fixed by her parents with Shreya.
There was no connection or touch between Avantika and Rohan. Avantika was devastated by Rohan's action and goes to US and settles there in a lower profile. Rohan on the other hand faced turbulence in his life since Shreya, after becoming a mother for his Son had applied for divorce. She wanted to be with her ex-boy friend Adi and wanted to settle in Australia along with him.
Here I must say there are lot of twists and turns in this novel which would make any one to pick up interest on what would happen next.
Now Rohan wanted to mend his ways with Avantika and hence he traces her where abouts with the help of Wendy. In the mean time, Avantika was leading a peaceful life and she was attracted to Steve, a Cop. When Rohan makes contact with her, lot of things happen including him meeting with an accident, Avantika falling sick and so on and so forth.
At one point of time Aarav wanted Avantika to get back to Rohan. There was also another twist in the story at this juncture and what decision did Avantika take? Did she get back to Rohan or did she decide to live, alone forever?
It is a compelling read for sure. A well knitted story with perfection. I wish Sandhya Jane all the very best as I am sure she will go a long way in the literary career....
The personal life of Avantika and Rohan are opened from time to time, creating excitement. It makes you understand them well, step by step. Every love story has a high point when the love confession is made. And this story has a healing confession, followed by some barbaric outburst. The end of part one leaves you in tears. If you can imagine things well then you would love it for sure.
I fell in love with the character of Avantika, a smart, intelligent and matured banker in her late thirties, who enjoys a top notch position in bank and she is admired by all. She manages her professional & personal life meticulously, managing her only son Aarav as a single mother. Life has not been rewarding at personal level but she has managed her emotions and moved well in life nurturing her love, Aarav wonderfully. The character of Aarav as a young boy has been handled well and it reflects the matured seasoning of the kid by his great mother Avantika. She is pulling well in life meeting the demands of a job and a single mother, till she meets Rohan, a man in his thirties. Rohan’s smart demeanour attracts the attention of Avantika and she finds him caring and they gel well. Avantika finds her longing for Rohan unusual since she has worked long with male fraternity and never ever got distracted. They share good chemistry and their friendship blossoms. Life gives her a second chance to pursue her love-life, the only perspective in her life which is incomplete and she finds solace and is cheerful in the company of Rohan. There is a connection of hearts from both ends but they conceal their feelings.
Rohan undermines the yearnings of Avantika but he is dreaded with the idea of Avantika been accepted by her conservative family. He refrains meetings from Avantika but it does not go a long way.
In one of the weak moments, they confess their love for each other but at the same time he receives a call from his family about his marriage fix up. He can’t dare to go against the wishes of his family and breaches the trust of Avantika.
Avantika is heartbroken with the attitude of Rohan and she moves out of India giving a blow to her triumphant career. She treads cautiously in life and moves towards spirituality to suppress her crush for Rohan and to spend life peacefully with her son, Aarav who needs more attention of Avantika. The daring Avantika moves with time though her crush for Rohan never diminishes but sinks in.
Life gives them a chance to meet and this time Rohan is ready to surrender but Avantika does not give him a chance to prove. She don’t want to risk her life again though her son Aarav too wants Rohan to join in. Aarav has seen his mother suffering in absence of Rohan.
Avantika becomes judgmental and weighs pros & cons in choosing Rohan and immaculately takes the decision to part ways with him.
She does gives her life a second chance but not with Rohan.
The author has done justice to her writing, to know more who is the lucky one to get Avantika, do grab a copy for yourself and read it for yourself.
The story concludes with happy ending.
Pros: A simple romantic story pruned well with a backdrop of modern society and the strong characteristic of Avantika mesmerizes the reader.
Cons: I could not conclude any as the pros outweighs the cons.
If you wish to go for a refreshing read and how the woman of determination fares through the adversities and finally succeeds in her take.
