Schindlers List is an epic historical drama that is based on the novel Schindler's Ark by Thomas Keneally. This movie revolves around the life of Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson), a German businessman, who during the Holocaust saves the life of around 1100 Polish-Jewish refugees by employing them in his factories. When the story begins Schindler is portrayed as a greedy business man who is a member of the Nazi party. He bribes the German armed forces and officials to acquire a factory. Schindlers hires Jewish workers in his factory as they cost less. Overtime as the movie Schindlers List 1993 progresses, he is deeply affected by the ill treatment of Jews by the Nazis and takes steps to protect the Jews working in his factory.
In his attempt to save as many Jews as possible, Schindlers builds a sub-camp for his workers so that he would be able to protect them from the wrath of camp commandant Amon Goeth. Schindlers tries his best and goes ahead and bribes authorities to ensure that the Jews remain protected. In his attempt to save the lives of the Jews, Oskar Schindler loses almost all of his wealth. Bring home the Schindlers List Blu-ray to understand more about the life of Oskar Schindler and his humanitarian efforts in protecting the Jews. Widely acclaimed for remarkable achievement by both audiences and critics, the Steven Spielberg's Schindlers List 1993 Blu-ray will make a classic addition to your collection of movies. For the DVD, movie comes in 2 Disc without extras and that to in DVD5 not DVD9. I hoped in DVD9.
Its good quality Dolby Digital Stereo 2.0 but wanted in 5.1 audio.
Again aspect ratio is 4:3 and should have been 16:9 though originally was in 35mm.
Dvd movie is very nice. I love it even with some of my missing wants.
The most glaring error is :
"THE SHOAH FOUND ACTION STORY" which should read:
"THE SHOAH FOUNDATION STORY".
Also, "original" DVDs DO NOT include the Indian Film Censors Certificate.
A film that should be seen by people who feel that the World has been unjust and life is filled with suffering. See this film about true events that happened in Germany during World War II. One realises that one's own suffering is far inferior to the real suffering the Jews faced during the holocaust years just because they were born as Jews and how one person who was not one of them could make all the difference.
