"A complete thrill ride ... it challenged everything I thought I knew. I'm utterly spellbound!" ★★★★★ Amazon Reviewer

THE TRUTH HURTS

My mother was right to fear me.
I’m an abomination.
And the world should be very afraid.

Sadie has been kidnapped by the Tor, the vindictive alien race who destroyed Thalassic City. As her past, present, and future collides, her worst nightmare looks set to become her shocking new reality.

A deliberate pawn in leader Griselda’s vengeful game, Sadie is horrified to learn the truth about her heritage and the destiny that’s already been mapped out for her. Refusing to cooperate, she risks paying the ultimate price for her defiance.

Love for Logan is her only motivation to stay alive. Saving him is the only thing that matters—the fate of the world depends upon it. While he may never forgive her, she’s determined to protect him. Until her dying breath.

After the big cliffhanger at the end of book 2, Saven: Disclosure, I had no clue what was going to happen. I only had one hunch, which did end up being true, but having much more complexity behind it and other things I definitely would never have predicted. There were definitely some very surprising twists and turns in this novella. This book is a nice, fast read- the pacing is great. It's really interesting to meet a lot of new characters in this book, in particular, one who I'm guessing will play a big part in the rest of the series. I am trying to review without giving away spoilers, but, I really loved this novella. I think the writing is some of the strongest I have seen yet from Siobhan Davis. Fans of the Saven series will not be disappointed. Be forewarned though, as a novella, it really doesn't end with a lot of closure, but the cliffhanger didn't feel quite as anguishing as the cliffhanger at the end of Saven: Disclosure.

I was given an ARC of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

*I received an eARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.*

“I’m terrified of learning the truth. About my mission. About Axton. About who I really am, and what I’m capable of doing. I’d rather stay in denial. Because if there’s one thing I’m certain of, it’s that I’m not going to like the truth of my apparent new reality.”
-Sadie

This book... I don't what to say! But it was pretty damn explosive. This book is extremely necessary to read in this series if you want to proceed to the next one. I mean you would naturally want to because it ends with a massive cliffhanger which had me shouting WHAT!! in a loop!

Sadie has been kidnapped by the Tor where she learns a horrifying truth about herself. Can she save Logan in time? Most of all, can she save herself, at all?

This book was a whirlwind. We learned a lot of truth about Sadie and her past and her essential role in all this alien matter. Griselda, the head of the Tor was a freaking nutcase, I must say, because she was hell bent on revenge when everybody else wanted peace. And the one thing that kind of freaked me was Axton. And I really, really wish what he said about Sadie and him was false because eeeh.. I don't know what else to think but I definitely don't want him anywhere near Sadie though how much he claims he loves her. Nonetheless, I'm interested to find out more about that guy.

Nonetheless, I absolutely loved how everything was executed. Twists after twists kept on coming and some pretty big secrets were revealed which totally caught me off guard. Though I liked how Sadie handled things though she didn't think much before doing anything.

I was provided an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this novella in the Saven series. I'm a big fan of futuristic novels and I enjoyed the science fiction/fantasy aspects that this particular author lends to her dystopian books. I find Sadie to be a character that the reader can connect with and relate to and that makes you more invested in the story and what happens to her. I was horrified by some of the things Sadie finds out about herself in this novella. It helps explain so much that was missing or confusing in the first to novels and I have to thank the author for including this novella into the series to help us fill the gaps. It was also very fascinating and engaging to see some other relationships Sadie had and how she seems to be the same passionate and loyal person no matter her circumstances. We do have another cliffhanger to keep us antsy until the next book releases, but as an avid reader, this is nothing new! I'm just that much more excited to read the next book when it comes out.

5.0 out of 5 stars More Hot Aliens? And I'm the One in Denial..AHHHHH 30 September 2016

Sadie was kidnapped by the Tor at the end of the last book, the same alien race that destroyed the Thalassic City. While at Tor, Sadie learns about her past, her present and even her future and it looks like her worst nightmare will become her new reality.
Griselda's is Tor's leader and the worst monster to exist in the Galaxy (think I'm joking, just read this novella and see for yourself, she is a freaking monster), and she has mapped out a destiny for Sadie since she was a little girl (since she was 4 years old to be more specific). She lets Sadie learn the truth of her heritage and her true "destiny" and what her mission all along was and wait for it..to kill Logan. Sadie, refuses to cooperate, of course, and risks to pay the ultimate price for her defiance.
The love of her life is Logan and because of this love she promises herself that saving him and saving the world is what really matters. She will do anything to make sure Griselda doesn't go through with her plan, even if she has to die doing it.
This novella was everything and a little more, this is not a novella that you can skip reading, it is not an optional reading, it's a must reading in between books 2 and 3. It will clear some answers for you and Sadie (lol) and then will make you want to throw the book across the room once you are done with it. Why? Because Siobhan finish it with another cliffhanger and I'm dying right here, that's why. I know, I know, I should just be used to be now and I am but it's killing me and I need the next book right now. Okay, I'm a little more calm and I'm done panicking and will end by giving my rating.
Of course I gave this book 5 out 5 stars and can we talk about how Siobhan makes these alien boys look so damn hot? AHHHHHHHHH.

This novella was awesome, it filled in so much! There was so much that shocked me and worried me. We meet the Tor...another alien race, and they are enemies of the Saven. They have time travel technology. It's so interesting. I don't want to give away too much, but there so much we learn about Sadie in this novella!!! Next, on to Saven Defiance (book 3)!!! This is such an awesome series!!! Have I said that before? Only a million times. :)

This is all about Sadie book and I loved it. Said didn't once give up on what she held true. She fought against these truths and held strong even when everything she thought she knew was unraveling in front of her. She wasn't exactly surprised, she had a feeling about some things, but Ax?!? That's a new curveball and a good one. But the ending? I kind of wanted to punch Hadyn. Some new characters and allies are introduced into this one but it's a good change. Can't wait to see what the next book holds.
