This is my first Samsung mobile and I was skeptical about buying it for Rs. 20,000 when I had the opportunity to buy MI 11X for Rs. 23,000. But eventually chose to buy this Samsung Galaxy M42 and I'm happy I chose Samsung.

Pros:
1. Battery Performance: Gives 12 to 14 hours Screen On Time in a single charge and a 2 day battery back up.

2. Snapdragon 750G with 8GB RAM: Buttery smooth performance without any lags.

3. Fingerprint sensor: Fast and accurate considering the in display fingerprint reader.

Con:
The only con I could say is the touch sensitivity even without any tempered glass. Sometimes the screen doesn't respond to touches. But it's not always. Occurs rarely.

Coming back to the performance of M42, the battery life is extraordinary. Gives a lot of Screen On Time Usage when compared to other phones available. This is mostly due to the 720p screen and Amoled display and I'm very happy about this fact. Earlier I was using Mi A3 which was also a 720p amoled display. Both the screen were good in real time usage. I couldn't find any differences between Full HD display and HD+ display. So ignore people saying the screen as the major con for this mobile.

In display fingerprint reader is fast and accurate. I was surprised since there were a lot of people complaining about the fingerprint reader for its effectiveness. For me it's working so smoothly. It's fast and accurate. It's even more faster than MI A3 which also has a similar in display fingerprint reader. Obviously neither Samsung M42 nor MI A3 is as fast as the normal back or side mounted fingerprint scanner but trust me Samsung M42 fingerprints reader is excellent considering it's in display reader. I have not yet used any tempered glass. So so far it's working so smoothly.

Camera is good. Clicks some good pictures. I have not used the camera much but it's quite good.

Samsung's One UI was little difficult to get adjusted since I was coming from the most clean and efficient Android One UI. But it's not bad.

Samsung Pay is awesome and other Samsung features are a refreshing change for me coming from an Android One (MI A3) device.

Snapdragon 750G is so fast and smooth coupled with 8GB RAM gives buttery smooth user experience. There was no kind of lag and the performance of the phone is so amazing.

The only con I could point out is the touch sensitivity. There were times when the screen didn't respond to the touches made in spite of not using any tempered glass on the screen. I hope I don't face any issues after installing the tempered glass. May be that can be taken care by increasing the touch sensitivity in the options.

Overall Samsung M42 is an amazing and a refreshing mobile which works without any flaws. I faced a lot of bugs and flaws in MI A3 but Samsung M42 is clean and works without any bugs. For this sole reason I'm happy to have chosen Samsung M42 over MI 11X. And not to forget the phone looks beautiful although it's plastic and prone to scratches and the look and feel of the mobile is really awesome. Coming from a glass back device to a plastic back device I didn't feel Samsung has used a plastic back. Would have been really happy had Samsung gone for glass back for this M42 device which works flawlessly otherwise.

Phone have issues in wi fi and switch off on, and it's non resolve, only option to change motherboard,and that's half of phone price when warenty expired, so if issue come after warenty expired then only option throw it in dustbin, and i am lot research about this issue it's all in m series of samsung .
