Product description

Operation Raccoon City is not a survival horror title, but plays as a third-person shooter, filled with bombastic and action packed moments. The game focuses on the Umbrella Countermeasure Service and their mission to find, eliminate and wipe out any evidence linking Umbrella to the horrific Raccoon City Incident. This team consists of various new characters, who all come from a different background and have their own stories. Here's where the game starts to show its many flaws. While having a fantastic base to go with as a Resident Evil title, Slant Six Games decided to focus on the shooting more than on the lore around the game. For me, as a hardcore fan of the series, Resident Evil always has and hopefully always will be a game that tells its players a tense, emotional story that will stick with those who allow the story to pull them in. Every fan of the series has their own favorite moment in one of the games; be it the romance between Ada and Leon, the personal struggles of Chris or the fight for power of Wesker. Operation Raccoon City is not only different in being a true third-person shooter; it's also nothing more than that. Putting the name on the box and adding several characters just simply isn't enough to make a videogame a Resident Evil title, so gamers who are looking for a deep, rewarding experience like the main canon of the series best stay far away from this one. Fans of co-operative gameplay and shooters will enjoy this title, however. Operation Raccoon City supports 4-player co-op and becomes a fun experience when played with a group of friends. What you do here is shoot hundreds of zombies and other ugly B.O.W.'s (Bio-organic Weapons for the newcomers) in the face with a couple of buddies to back you up; how fun is that?
