Guys don't buy this model of Xiaomi, coz their is too many problem in this device also battery is drawing very very quick, I'm so frusted to spent 13000 worthless, pls go with Note 5 pro I think that phone has commandable for battery life
=> Design Well, Xiaomi phone from 5k to 20 k have same body. Earlier i used to have Redmi note 5, when i buyed this redmi y2 i found that there is no change , they are too similar. This phone body is made of plastic which looks like metal . I really miss glass finish at back of the phone. So i will give for design (2/10)
=> Display The color of phone is just average. and yes THERE IS NO SCREEN PROTECTION. so i will give for display (4/10)
=> Battery I like the battery backup of phone. with just 3080mAh battery it perform well. (8/10)
=> Software It has Mi UI 9.5 with Android 8.1 which is very cool. There are many good features. Trust me It has excellent UI . i will give ( 9/10 )
=> Camera If you are looking for camera phone. Then it will good choice. front camera is good . and it has good rear camera too. But I am not very satisfied with camera because i compared it to some other phone of similar price range and i found they have much better camera . score (7/10)
=> performance Yes, It offer a lag free experience . It has good ram management . (9/10)
=> MY experience Well I regret buying this phone, but it is good phone because of its performance and software. camera is good too. But there are better phone in this price range!
I am using this phone from last month there is some good as well as bad point in this devise. The camera of this phone is pretty good and the video stabling is very good. But the display is HD+ it is good but it should full HD and the battery is average. The design of this phone is awesome I like the design but it have plastic body so it's a minus point.
Mobile hardware, performance are good, however Screen broken within two months.... Accidentally slipped from my hand and broken....screen quality needs improvement.... Luckily I have screen replacement warranty... : -(
It could not hv facelock feature as told in description.. and camera is not as expected.. I brought in 13500/- in flash sale and after a week only Price dropped by 500 rs. Accessories are not available and camera quality is not good to compared to other devices in same range.. before buying this I was xiomi fan but now brought oppo f9 from flipcart in offer..
No instruction manual supplied except a guide how to insert a SIM card.Impossible to set up. Key board does not have $ sign so not possible to use password with $ sign. On the whole I am stuckup with this badly presented product. Cannot connect P C or Laptop, no instruction ia avilable, On net some YouTube videos for how to connect P C, from individuls commenting in mumbling hindi is avilable, which is quite unhelpful. After 3 weeks, battery life is decent. Camera quality is OK. But without a detailed manual the features are not very clear And unable to connect PC, no online help available at manufacturers site. Some youtube tutorial uploaded by some individuals are there and of no help.
I am a average user. So this is a honest review according to me PROS.... >Picture quality is good not best >Sound quality is quite good >Smooth and fast touch response >No heating problem >Slim mobile >Charging fast >Front facing camera is good >It has infrared sensor for controlling electronic appliances such as led TV, set top box, sound system, air conditioner etc. >finger print scanner is fast. CONS... >Battery back up is not enough, at full charge it runs for 1.5 day >ear phone is not included >it has high SAR value which is dangerous for human health. On other side Japanese nd Korean brands have low SAR value. >call quality is average not best. >redmi pre installed apps are quite irritating which are not unremoveable.
This 'value for money' phone does meet all what it claims except Camera and Sound section... And unnecessary and annoying ads in MIUI...
Camera ; The flagship dual camera of the phone struggles lot in Portait mode in inhouse or low light. It blurs out even edges of the subject or even parts of the subject while creating Bokeh effect. But that of in good day light works well. Hope Xaomi thru MIUI updates will handle this. Some nice photography effects from Redmi 4 camera have been removed. (Why?)
Sound: Phone appears to have two speakers in the bottom, but sadly only one is there and other side is just a design gimmick. The overall sound is low, be it on speaker or on earphones.
Display: Display is sharp and smooth. But total brightness is again low. You have to struggle in a sunny day. Manage some shadow in full sunlight to see the display.
MIUI Ads This is my first MI phone and it was annoying disappointment to see full of ads in every native (stock) app of MiUI. Why the hell ads in stock apps?? Are you giving this phone for free? Xaomi must stop this immediately.
After purchasing it and using with two days I'm writing this. I'm was using redmi note4 from last one year and found no issue with that but only problem was that two sim slot in was one hybrid for memory card. So I found this Y2 for better options. But this is most worst decision I made. Wish this all facilities we're available in redmi note 4. Anyway this set is ok but not best and better backup is the most worst part of this mobile. I'm also not getting exchange value of this set. So in the future I'm also not getting good exchange value.
An awesome smartphone with everything to it's core like 4 GB RAM, Memory, Processing Speed, But not the Battery. Battery lasts for only a day even if the phone was not used extensively, May be due to it's Overdosed RAM. Must need a routine battery charge and discharge like "Charge the battery only after it drops to 15% Avg" But only few devices got this battery problem as far as i read the reviews about this phone!
