I bought this about a month ago and I have been using it consistently for the past month. The b5 balm has a thick texture that doesn't absorb into skin right away but it's not sticky. I usually use gels or serum kinds of skin care products because heavier products tend to make me break out. However, I have experienced NO breakouts with this product!
I apply this as a final step in my skincare regimen. In the mornings before applying makeup, I may use this on certain areas that need the extra moisture such as the skin around my nose and any dry flaky patches. This moisturizes the area nicely and let's the foundation glide on smoothly without clinging to dry spots. If you apply this on a fresh scar it will speed up the healing process. I am an excessive face picker and I have noticed my newer acne scars fading away quicker than usual. If you apply too much it tends to leave a white cast, all you need is a pea sized amount.
I could definitely see myself repurchasing this since it doesn't irritate my sensitive acne prone skin. With the colder weather coming around, my oily skin really appreciates the extra moisture. This maybe too heavy for me in the summer time, but I would continue to use on dry patches.
I picked up Cicplast Baume as it doesn't have the fatty alcohols I tend to get from the more popular HG moisturizers. I keep it basic: wash with warm water in the morning, hyaluronic acid then Toleriane. At night , I use this Cicaplast Baume and a wee bit of Rose Hip and seal it with an occlusive. Considering I had been destroying my skin for years, this simple routine made my skin beautiful at about a month. I absolutely love this cream and will use it until the giraffes come home.
It also great for lips, and mine naturally take up a bit of real estate in my face. My parents gave me lips like a carp, and keeping them soft requires quite a bit of product. This does the trick. Or also works well on dry cuticles or other various body parts, but I use it primarily on the money maker.
This cream could presumably do anything you ask of it. Except bake a hummingbird cake, apparently. I tried. Thanks, for that Ambien.
In summation, if you have dry skin or are looking to repair your moisture barrier/acid mantle, this may be what you seek.
