And for those of you wondering about the meaning of "Informatics", here is my attempt at the practical meaning (as it relates to this book). We often times need to glean "bits" of information from copious amounts of bulk data. Mr. Severance covered several examples for collecting and managing such data from email dumps, web pages and databases.
